Hopefully soon I can qualify for a new chair. For almost 20 years I've used mid or front wheel chairs. My very first chair was a rear wheel, belt driven, 21st Century. It was big, bulky, and pretty fast. Now I'm thinking of going back to that chair. It's better looking now, though still not great.

Greg, I think 21st Century still makes the old style chairs with the 20 rear tires. I had a new chair made in 2005 and RD said they had no plans to discontinue them (though that WAS 5 years ago). I find the smaller rear wheels getting me stuck in gravel, soft soil, etc. much more often than

My last two chairs have been 21st century. And I always get the large 20 inch rear wheels. As long as the drive belts are tight, the wheels don't bog down. Also, I always get the pneumatic tires of course flat tires are inevitable but Wal-Mart sells the inner tubes for $2.35 apiece. And they
