OK guys that's enough-I'm downright jealous. Somehow it doesn't seem fair
that you guys have all the fun. Course I never tried a male PCA, nor do I

Hi Joan...
Don't be too jealous... from what I understand it never lasts and it rarely
ends well!!
But then again, there was one person that helped me out with some emergency
PCA Care when I first arrived in Tucson after my parents pulled out to start
driving back east. All because my
So after 3 or 4 screw-ups getting my chair fixed (it would come back with
more problems than I sent it in with, some minor some major). It finely came
back and seemed to be OK. BUT.., I took it out for a longer ride and notice
the speed was set about 25% lower. I made an appointment to go in and
Hopefully soon I can qualify for a new chair. For almost 20 years I've used
mid or front wheel chairs. My very first chair was a rear wheel, belt
driven, 21st Century. It was big, bulky, and pretty fast. Now I'm thinking
of going back to that chair. It's better looking now, though still not
great.
Hopefully soon I can qualify for a new chair.
Greg, Start NOW making a list, literally, of things you want for your new
chair - right down to the size of the foot plates, arm rest size EVERYTHING.

Greg,
I think 21st Century still makes the old style chairs with the 20 rear tires.
I had a new chair made in 2005 and RD said they had no plans to discontinue
them (though that WAS 5 years ago).
I find the smaller rear wheels getting me stuck in gravel, soft soil, etc. much
more often than
My last two chairs have been 21st century. And I always get the large
20 inch rear wheels. As long as the drive belts are tight, the wheels
don't bog down. Also, I always get the pneumatic tires of course flat
tires are inevitable but Wal-Mart sells the inner tubes for $2.35
apiece. And they
don't be a bitch, don't be a prick to your help; don't blame the world for the
fact that you're a quad, chances are it's your fault and/or your stupidity that
put you in a chair in the first place; always have extra supplies on hand!!!
Yeah I know I haven't been a quad for very long. And I know
sorry for the late response, but thank you. I especially loved the dog!
