once you have anytype of catheter your body will always fight against a foreign

infection because of the shaft of the penis, you are prone to more infections.

years ago when i was havging major problems a vascular surgeon told me i have a
valve in an artery in left leg that allows backflow. i'll be calling dr to
schedule the dvt.

i also had dr tell me to eat more protien, something in the blood produced by
protein was a bit low and said it was cause cells to be unable to carry fluid.
only thing is legts arn't really swollen.

Hi,
It was so good to read that someone else has leaky legs. Mine started about
9 months ago after I had gotten Botox in my legs. I get the injections
every 3 months and it varies 35 to 45 sites. I bleed very easily so there is
2
nurses holding pressure and if needed a small bandage is put on. I started
feeling like my legs were wet before leaving the office and everyone said it
was a feeling left over by the shots, After getting home and in my bed you
could see the wet areas on my sheets ,not bad, but they were there.
Since then it happens after the shots every time, and sometimes in between.
It usually last 2-3 days. It was strange to read it today- for
no reason I seem to be leaking and I don't get my shots for 2 more weeks,
and I can hardly wait.
I got out of the hospital about a week ago because of lung mess and came
home to continue my treatments. A day or 2 later I kept telling my husband to
check my hips and move them around ,,,something was not right. He found
that I had the beginning of saddle sores on my rear..one for each side.
This
is the first time in 8 years to be going thru this and I bet with it getting
hotter it is going to be hard to get this well. and I had excellent help
while I was in the hospital so I don' think it was their fault.

Re: FW: [QUAD-L] About wheelchair users keeping their heads down in public

2007-05-28 Thread Quadius

I have met some of the most kind individuals since I have been in a chair
also, but I have experienced my share of discrimination. When I was eight
years younger, I used to get all those wonderful smiles from the ladies, but
that doesn't happen any longer. However, for the most part I am usually
given the respect I deserve and try my best not to let individuals trounce
upon my rights. It is a long and hard struggle to make sure that people see
the individual and not just the individual in the chair.

I have been fortunate enough not to come across too many gang bangers in
their own territory, but whenever I encounter them in the mall or another
areas, I have always been polite and they have always reciprocated. Then
again, Tampa is not nearly as bad as some other areas in the country, even
though we have our share of gangs.

In my personal experience I have found it beneficial to simply bid a good
day to everyone I encounter on the street. So far I haven't been robbed or
thrown out of my chair, but that could change. Let me keep my fingers
crossed that it doesn't.

as possible. Anytime I hear purple or blue connected with the lower part of
the leg, I immediately think of DVT. I wasn't leaking anything out of my
legs, but I got a DVT in my upper thigh and was told by an incompetent nurse
practitioner (who has been alleviated over job quite some time ago) to
simply put my leg up and wait until the next day.

Thankfully I had a doctor that was rooming with me and he told me to get to
the ER right away. Don't know if this is necessary for you, but I would
definitely go in and get it looked at.

The wounds on my chest started out simply discharging yellowish fluid and
then they grew into some ugly looking things.
Wish you the best.

 HI ALL
I'M EXPERIEHNCING ONE OF THOSE WONDERFUL QUAD QUIRKS! I JUST WONDERED IF
ANYONE ELSE HAS DONE THIS AND IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHY.

MY LOWER LEGS ESPECIALLY MY CALVES ARE LEAKING SERUM - IT'S OUT OF THE
PORES AND DRIES HARD AND YELLOW. MY LEGS AND FEET ARN'T SWOLLEN BUT THE BACK
OF MY CALVES LOOKED PURPLE/BLUE THIS MORNING WHEN I GOT UP. I PROP MY FEET
UP IN BED BUT MY DAD NOTICED IT LAST NIGHT BEFORE I GOT IN BED. MY AID CAME
IN THIS A.M. AND FREAKED WHEN SHE FELT THEM.

ANY CLUES?
