thought it should work. pretty standard i7 with intel graphics. no problems in
linux. but ive tried 3 releases now and always get that Q in rainbow static

why not just make it a simple action, like leave the mouse in the upper left
corner or hot key + button in the notification window that could look like
[screensaver: disabled]
then theres no worry about the app. a timer could be good here too, like
disable for 1hr if thats how long the movie
for live traffic monitoring use wireshark. it will also dissect packets for you
showing you what each field means. its a great learning tool. you can also run
apps like darkstat or ntop for logging. there's console version of wireshark
called tshark. never used it.

releases, and is doing one of rc3.
wayland is inevitable. for the vms, this would take the form of a qubes
compositor.
that said, ive used the gimp, watched movies, even toyed with video editing on
a 6 year old laptop running qubes 3.2rc3. also played a bit with blender and it
seems fine, but havent tried animating yet.

i think fedora24 should be the default template for qubes 3.2. were all testing

sys-usb has been giving me problems in the past couple days. whenever its
restarted, it no longer talks to usb devices. the only solution ive found is
rebooting the laptop. now, coming out of suspend its "on", but i couldnt even
start a terminal in it. this might be the relevant log entry.

There are a lot of packages creating a bigger attack surface. but, bigger
tried installing qubes-3.2 on an i7 kaby lake laptop. efi mode gave the reboot
issue noted in the troubleshooting efi page, but neither solution helped.
should i try building a newer version?
