You should have a router which will provide NAT (network address

I agree 100% that the internet connection requirement to listen to local
music is silly. I'd like to believe that the decision makers at
logitech will one day realize how retarted this is and will change it.
I understand the usability issue they are trying to adress, but this is
a non-solution.
What is the rational for the player needing to communicate with
Logitech's server to play local music? Software (a server) has to be
installed locally to play local music. It seems overly complicated and
unnecessary for the radio to have to communicate with Logitech's server

90's. I still have my kenwood r-5000 and r-600. I loved hunting for
stations. Hunting on the web just doesn't seem like it would be the

Actually, I've never found the need to have a squeezebox under battery
power. So no danger of me buying a Radio for that reason
Creating a separate genre is a quick easy fix for separating music
libraries. This assumes that your daughter doesn't care about labeling
genres on her music.

I think you need to look at the outbound connection settings in the

By using my DirecTV remote and configuring AV1 for a JVC DVD player, I
can use my DirecTV remote to control my squeezebox.
