No, a failing network isn't necessarily the user's fault. I can't see
that anybody has said that.
The post I quoted
If you guys want to complain, please complain where someone listen to
what you are saying, this would be either:
1. Logitech support: http://www.logitech.com/support
or
2. The official Logitech forum which Logitech support staff reads:

You can complain all you want
Sorry, but the official forum is a joke. As it the support or the
handling of bug reports in the bugtracker. Let's face it: the folks at
Logitech either don't care that the Radio's software is crap or they
are not willing or able to fix it. It's simply impossible that they
don't know about all

You mean like this sticky that explicitly tells folks that this is a
peer-to-peer forum

This reply was so completely pointless that it hurts. What is working
for you? Getting Logitech to fix the bugs (which would be the only
sensible reply to my posting)? If so: why weren't they fixed then since
last October? Why do some people feel the urge to reply to postings when

Completely agree with both of you.
Why oh why did they design it to require a server? If I'm playing
internet radio, it could theoretically be a private transaction between
my gadget and the radio station, two parties not three. My beloved Roku

I don't need a list. I have my DI.FM URLs already, and there's plenty

I just want the alarm to work properly. It did for a week or so earlier
this year, but that was it. Interestingly that was when I was using
MySB; most of the time I use my own server (7.5.2), which is absolutely
solid for every other player. Since I use the beta/RC software I can't
use MySB,
Why not change the mp3 file used for the fallback alarm, or at least
change the volume setting for the current thumping file? I am not
saying that users should have to ssh into their radios to solve these
problems, but it's an easy fix that will alleviate your current
suffering.

I just don't experience most of the Radio problems listed in the past
few posts. I switch the Radio between MySB (most common use) and SBS
and TinySC.
If you do switch between MySB and SBS set your SBS Settings
MySqueezeBox Keep player settings in Sync OFF
I do not experience the following:
Well, there are enough bug reports for all of the issues, but the most
basic issues are of course the completely broken alarm functionality
and the fact, that even switching the crooked thing off doesn't work in
4 of 5 cases.
There are dozens of less important design flaws and bugs, bad interface
So, this had become the frustration thread
Well, I generally like my radio.
What I don't like:
- Slow user interface, even with own server
- lack of customization (as said before)
- alarm not as solid enough to trust it entirely (always have a mobile
ready)
- small fonts for the time

Does anyone know if Squeezebox Radio will ever support MMS format?
I doubt since it is a MS deprecated format and MS has stopped
supporting it since 2008 and WMP 11.

You could install the nightly beta versions of Squeezebox Server on your

It's really not obscure. If you want to file an official bug, do it on
