I've power-cycled the radio at least a dozen times in the last hour. But after seeing your 'half-connected' message I did it again. And still no change. on mysb.com I can not disconnect the radio. I click on 'disconnect' and get the pop up warning. I click 'OK' and after a screen refresh the radio is still connected. HOWEVER!!! I just followed kidstypike's suggestion about manually entering the IP address for a remote library and everything is working as expected!! I was even able to disconnect the radio from mysb.com. I won't consider the issue completely resolved until another day or two, but at least at this point I can waste some time getting my apps configured. Thanks to all for your help. phred's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=52602 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109817 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

Is the new Radio connected to mysb.com? If it is, it should show up in the drop down top right of the LMS web gui. If it does show up there, if you click on it, you should get a promt to connect it to LMS. Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Setting up an Additional Radio
I've reached a good news/bad news point in my attempt to configure this new (used) Radio. The good news is that the device now shows up on mysqueezebox.com. Thanks to mherber for resetting the MAC address in the database. The bad news is that despite following Apesbrain's detailed instructions (in reply #4 above) the device is showing some funky behavior. It does not appear in the LMS info tab. Which leads to other problems such as it not being able to see my music. Nor my favorites. Nor just about anything else. I have reset the device to Factory Defaults more than once. It's almost like the device isn't on the local network, but it is. I can ping it and get a response. I'm using a static IP on a WiFi network. The icon at the bottom right of the Radio shows it is connected. A scan of the network with two different apps shows it connected on one app but not visible on the other. Needless to say I have rechecked the IP config and the addresses are correct. Unless someone can come up with further troubleshooting steps, I'm going to declare this unit not fully operational and return it for another. The seller has been very helpful to this point as far as allowing me to exchange it for another one. phred's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=52602 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109817 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Setting up an Additional Radio
The setting files for the Radio are in /etc/squeezeplay/userpath however, you'll need to change the MAC address in settings/SlimDiscovery.lua to match that of the new radio before restoring the files. Jive updates the settings files during operation, so you'll need to kill the /usr/bin/jive process on the new radio and quickly restore the modified settings files before the watchdog timer reboots the radio. Not sure you can disable the watchdog timer. Setting smanager is for the older players which had most of the settings kept by LMS as the player was quite dumb. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109817 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

It is not really possible. There is no single configuration file - preferences are spread out amongst many files - IIRC this is the norm in Lua implementations. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109817 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Setting up an Additional Radio
The first thing I'd do with a used Radio is a factory reset: https://support.logitech.com/en_us/article/13945 Next, I'd reapply the latest firmware. Go into Settings/Advanced/Applets and deselect "Reinstall after Firmware Update". Then, you can get Radio firmware here: http://update-origin.slimdevices.com/update/firmware/7.9.2/baby_7.7.3_r16676.bin Download it to your Squeezebox "\server\firmware" folder and reboot everything. Radio should detect new firmware or you can manually update it via menus. Once everything is confirmed to work as expected, you can apply applets if you want. There is no "easy" way to copy settings from one Radio to another. It's possible I'd guess if you SSH into the first Radio, copy the right configuration files, and apply them via SSH to the second unit, but I'd not call this easy and I don't know what files to copy. FWIW, LMS > is running on a Windows 7 box. > Thanks. While waiting for an answer to my original post, I have discovered that this new (used) unit can't load/see any plugins. Nor can it connect to any radio stations that I have set up in the Favorites section. Looking at my original Radio, the firmware on both is the same (and the latest.) And plugins on the original (specifically Custom Clock Helper and Super Date Time) don't appear on the new device. When trying to connect to a 'Favorite' internet radio station this new device throws a "Connection reset by remote host" error. I can reach the same stations on the original radio. Does the 'remote host' in the error message refer to my LMS server? Or to the actual host of the internet station? Either way it doesn't make sense since my original radio connects. The 'Information' tab on LMS (7.9.2 - 1533559127) shows the device is connected. I'd like to get this resolved in the next day or two so that I still have the option to return the device for a refund. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to get this resolved? Or do you think the device is faulty?
