Eh, I don't think the loops on the Acorn Large Saddlebag will reach my

I have the old, 2016-era Rivendell stock saddle with the weird ovular loop

any bag) and it also blocks things.

Torque on the NITTO stem clamp/ handlebar is 14-16 Nm or
120-140 inch lb. ( per NITTO specs.)
I recommend cleaning mating surfaces with isopropyl alcohol Before
assembling and torqueing.
I've never heard a creak doing it this method.

Nice looking build.
I have 58 boscos and 120 stem.
The jury is still out on that combo.
Thanks for the pics

Yes. The aluminum frames back in the 90s were prone to bottle cage bosses
coming loose and rattling while riding. Very annoying.

Your local bike shop should have the tool and bosses to do that. They drill
a hole and install the bosses like a pop rivet only better.

Nothing more annoying than having a squeaky handlebar.

I like Randi Jo.Fab.Bartender plus bag mounted on stem/ handlebar.
It keeps dirt away from bottles when riding on dusty roads frequented by
horses and other live stock/ wild life..

Spreading the stem slightly helps keep shims aligned while sliding handle
bar in place .
Your stem might not need the tool.

Vince knows his handlebars and stems and the best configuation.
I'm getting a new stem this week. I'll report back how it goes.
