Does anyone have any? So far we can't find anything.
John,
This is a control station that will talk to several local and not so local
repeaters for emergency service in disasters.
Before I put my tall tower up I had a knock off of a Comet dual band antenna
on a 60 foot tower that covered pretty well. Not the best but it kept me

Found some, thanks.

I use the Comet CX-333 on a 220 repeater; works quite well. Don't
currently use the other bands on that antenna.

Occasionally you will find an old stock one at radio shack... but
they are not of good quality. Icom makes a very nice unit, as does
diamond.. but they cost more. The icom unit is by far the best of
the trio.

Replace the domes over the flash head (abt $600+ each).. I had
several that appeared perfect to look but as the temperature rose
from the strobe flashing and the flash head P/S the covers would
expand and the hairline cracks would open enough to let moisture

Re: repeater ant for 900 mhz
The small 800 mhz baseball bat antennas can be easily
moved up to 900 MHz. About 1/4 inch comes off two
areas and they're good to go. I have some before and
after pictures I could share.

For a normal pass/reject duplexer, you would need
something to view the signal (service monitor or
spectrum analyzer) and something to provide a signal
(separate signal generator or a tracking generator
built into the service monitor or spectrum analyzer).
Additional items that could come in

Depends on your available resources. You can
tune a duplexer using two radios, some cable and
proper 50 ohm loads and pads as a basic min or

Then you can spend the bucks on the high end
equipment. If you win the lotto, the dream equipment

A local ham bought a new Kenwood TKR-850 (Version 2)

To tune the duplexer correctly requires q VNA (Vector Network Analyzer).
This will ensure that you have the duplexer at the correct frequency and
impedance.
You can tune a duplexer to about 90% of it's ability with a spectrum
analyzer and a tracking generator.
You can do a fair job with the
I am using two Icom IC-2AT hand held radios as a low power one way
repeater system. This system provides a full quieting signal into a
local repeater whenever I use another HT around the house. The one
way transmitter uses a yagi antenna in the attic and the frequency is
set to a local repeater

The GM300 Service Manual 6880902Z32 is still available from Motorola
Parts for $12.75, although a surcharge may apply. This is a fraction of
the cost to make a copy of someone else's manual.
