the radio/controller as required, and tested.
Thought a impedance mis-match.

Hi All,
I need a simple interface for a 600 ohm output radio to a controller
which accepts 10k ohm.
This isa RX not TX.
I don't want to make a circuit board if I don't need to.
Any ideas?

You guys are all purists. Hook it up and
see if it works.

Kevin,
In most audio work, 10kohms is considered a bridging impedance.
However, it usually is unbalanced while 600 ohms is usually balanced.
If the 600 ohm output is from a transformer with neither side grounded,
you should be able to simply connect the 10k load directly to the 600
ohm source.
Terminate the 600 Ohm output with a 680 or
570 Ohm resistor then connect to the controller.. This will make the source
happy. If it overdrives the controller, add a 4.7K to 10K ohm resistor in
series to swamp the input to taste.. I am making an assumption that the
controller and the
hing that is quality

Simplest way is with a standart 600 to 10k transformer.

Just hang a resistor of about 600 ohms across

I believe Radio Shack sells a matching transformer
that will work.
