. In other words, do what you can to insure your
receiver is not hearing your own transmitter's sideband noise on it's
input. Pass cans tuned to the TX frequency or NOTCH cavities tuned to
your *RX* frequency placed in the transmit line are your best hope.

They *would* if it was me doing the job. This is for the county's radio
system, so I need to do it by the book. I mentioned about using some other
modules, but others involved were rather persistent that we use the right
cards.

I'm not sure. I found (1) in my stash that I have collected at hamfests and
whatnot over the years. I have no idea what model numbers these would have
been found in. Knowing Motorola (and my dumb luck) there weren't very many
made.

'best educated guess' to 'try and get right the first time' are inevitable.
At least the crystal manufacturers have come a long way from grinding their
own crystals on a piece of emery cloth for their 40M rigs. (You old timers
KNOW what I'm talking about!!)

This site seems VERY paranoid!! I tried to access it with IE8 and it threw a
hissy fit. It said I was trying to download the whole site.
I then tried FireFox. I got to the homepage OK enough, but Didn't see much
content there without creating a login.
Too many hoops to jump through.
