[Resin-interest] 3.2 Docs?

2009-03-04 Thread Michael Prescott
The 'Resin 3.2' link on the caucho.com front page takes me to the resin 4.0 docs. If I rewrite the 3.1. docs URL http://caucho.com/resin-3.1/doc/ to say 3.2 http://caucho.com/resin-3.1/doc/, I see a page showing 3.1. docs. Should I just be looking at 3.1 docs? (If so, why the link to 3.2 on the

[Resin-interest] Resin won't start with JSSE enabled

2009-03-04 Thread Michael Prescott
My resin instance won't start if JSSE is enabled in the configuration, but I can't figure out what the problem is. (Yes, I'm aware of the advice for using OpenSSL instead, but that's not an option for me for the time being.) And yet, if I enable JSSE *while resin is running*, it appears to work

Perhaps the key-store-file gets read by a different class at startup than it does at runtime. Have you tried using an absolute path in the key-store-file? I use JSSE and only have the three nodes you show below. Aaron From: resin-interest-boun...@caucho.com

Well, that seems to have done it! I'd tried that in days gone by, and found it didn't work, but perhaps I wasn't being sufficiently scientific and had made some other mistake instead. Thanks very much, Aaron, I really appreciate it. Michael On Wed, Mar 4, 2009 at 2:00 PM, Aaron Freeman

[Resin-interest] Apache issue

2009-03-04 Thread david day
I have a server with apache+resin-3.1.6 installed. Are you running caucho_module? Have you used netstat command during troubleshooting? We had our thread-max fairly high and I was seeing mass quantities of connections to the srun port. Shutting down the JVM would clear the connections, but it

[Resin-interest] Limiting access to caucho-status

2009-03-04 Thread david day
Is there a way to limit access to site/caucho-status URL either per IP or per user/password? Have you checked out Location directive? This works nicely. Location /caucho-status SetHandler default-handler Order Deny,Allow Deny from all Allow from 192.168. /Location David

[Resin-interest] reverse proxy support like ProxyPass in apache?

2009-03-04 Thread david day
In our case, we still use Apache, due to other things we need, but we have always used mod_proxy to communicate with the backoffice Resin instances, instead of mod_caucho. This is a smashing idea, and I feel like an idiot for not seeing it. Unfortunately, ProxyPassMatch is broken in the RPM

[Resin-interest] 3.2 Docs?

2009-03-04 Thread david day
The resin docs on the caucho site are badly in need of revision, reorganization, and some TLC. I'd love to see Caucho make their course material available. I don't anticipate a training budget that includes travel, so am dependent on resin-interest and the documentation that is online.
