Just playing around with Retrospect 4.3. (Just installed it)
I wanted to know or to suggest if its not currently possible a couple of
things.
Firstly, my understanding of the backup system is that Retrospect never
actually deletes files from the tape, it just writes the new "modified"

Just received a new Ecrix VXA-1 Tape Drive . Attached it via suppled
cable to Apple Macintosh BW G3 using stock Apple (Adaptec) 2940U2B
LVD SCSI PCI card (only external device attached on this card). Tape

Every now and then an error will occur with an unattended backup. After
that, subsequent automatic backups will not activate. If I manually open the
Restospect application, the missed backups will be performed. Anyone have
any ideas why this happens? Sorry I cannot be more specific.
