Re: reviewboard api is missing
Hi, I assumed the server was set up on localhost. Is it not? What server should it be? What is the URL of the Review Board server itself? Proxy settings may be perfectly fine, but regardless of whether the site is on the internal or external network, post-review will use the proxy to reach the site. That can fail with internal Review Board instances in some cases. Re: reviewboard api is missing
Hi Christian, The proxy settings are correct in my IE browser, i can go to almost any site, etc... Don't you find it strange however that the url that post-review is looking for is http://localhost/rb/api/json/accounts/login/. Is there a redirect that is supposed to point to an external site? This is what confuses me. This is url/path does not exist on my localhost: http://localhost/rb/api/json/accounts/login/<http://localhost/rb/api/json/accounts/login/> . If there is a redirect then can you give me the actual url post-review will try to access... I can then verify if my proxy is ok with letting this url request through. Not sure if this makes any sense. I am using perforce and therefore reviewboard will not work well without post-review diffs no? Thank you again for your time. Re: reviewboard api is missing
The proxy may very well be the cause though. I don't see any configuration issues, and the login handler in Review Board never sends a Forbidden. You're saying that you don't have control over the proxy settings in your web browser? By default, post-review will use IE's proxy settings on Windows. Unfortunately, it doesn't understand the proxy exception list. We have no control over this. However, we would like to make post-review's use of the system proxy configurable. See this thread: http://groups.google.com/group/reviewboard/browse_thread/thread/69e334db357f183e/ecad66f73963c259?lnk=gst&q=proxy If Review Board otherwise works in your browser, I'd suggest using that for now. I'll look into what it takes to get proxy exception support into post-review, but given that it's the holidays, it may be a while. Hi Victor. I'm not sure that this is coming from Review Board. Can you email me your Apache configuration files? Also, do you typically go through a proxy server for external websites? If so, try temporarily disabling it.
