I'be been fooling around with making videos of pieces using the editor in playback mode for the visual. I've come upon 2 details that would help a lot 1 the way the curser bar moves makes me dizzy, I would let it drive to midscreen as per at the start but thence leave it there moving the sheet

If I use synth plugins I get a nice mixer for per-voice volume control. How can I get the same thing when using only GM? I would think that the volume knob under the bank & program dropdowns would offer per-voice copntrol but it doesn't seem to work AT ALL. --

I tried MusiX-2 and it was the first time I could get Rosegarden to work really. There seemed to be no support at that time and I let it go. Also tried Ubuntu-Studio-12.04 and it worked fine but having been spoiled I have a hard time doing what I want in any Debian-based system so I keep it as
