earlier rosegarden versions too.
Fluyidsynth & qsynth are installed, soundfonts too.
Jack/qjackctl are installed (sofar not used)
I load a midi file into rosegarden just to test soun

I'm working on a guitar piece with a trumpet solo, can anyone suggest good
soundfonts with lots of variety in trumpets that qsynth can use?

LillyPond sounds like something really nice, I say sounds like because I
haven't been able to print with it yet, or even see a print-preview. I've just
installed Musix-2.0, I'm next going to set up the printing on it (wifi net

I don't know what the devs did but Rosegarden works fine now, you just have to
start qjackctl & qsynth first

In the notation editor, how can I delete/remove/erase a rest the same way I

in which he explains how to use the ZYN synth. He begins with
launching ZYN and then watching Qjackctl connect it, etc. But

I just unpacked an .rg file and notice that the "instruments" are defined in
the very beginning with numbers. Where can I find an index or formula relating
the General-Midi Patch/Bank tree to the numbers rosegarden uses here?
For example I noticed that an instrument I set up as a "Violoncello

Just a few observations (OpenSuse-12.2/KDE4) with ref to the problems with
qjackctl.
I normally load qjckctl, qsynth, Zyn and rosegarden in that order.
Few MAJOR probs so long as everything stays up but if any of the quartet
stumble, hang or crash then all hell breaks loose and I may need to
I tried MusiX-2 and it was the first time I could get Rosegarden to work
really. There seemed to be no support at that time and I let it go. Also tried
Ubuntu-Studio-12.04 and it worked fine but having been spoiled I have a hard
time doing what I want in any Debian-based system so I keep it as

one at 110bpm. Any hints on how to make them share the step

I get the same thing when using only GM? I would think that the volume knob
under the bank & program dropdowns would offer per-voice copntrol but it
doesn't seem to work AT ALL.
