Halle Berry of course. just kidding. Just remembering the storm
casting decision for X-men. I do not think Uhura is in it. If so, it
will likely be someone like Halle Berry

Can't help but notice that you spelled the name correctly: UhurU, instead of
Roddenberry's creation of UhurA, done because the original African name was too
difficult to pronounce to his thinking. Wouldn't it be wild if they made that
small but siginificant change to her name for the new movie?

I have to agree with you, Keith. Though I'm never keen on driving down the road

As for JLA, I honestly don't know how to feel yet. Too much depends on script,
director, actors playing the characters.
Too old even to my way of thinking, for the Comm officer. Now, bring in Bassett
as an admiral to whom Kirk must report--that would work for me!

You know, three years ago I would have (and I think I did) argue this point.
But after seeing what Marvel¹s done with the Avengers, Iron Man, and Doctor
Strange...I have to agree. If you¹re not gonna have Brandon and Christian
playing Clark and Bruce...why bother? Just do an animated feature. And
funny!

Well, in the case of a movie like ³Transformers², SAG could care less. Most
of the time you¹re looking at stuff that doesn¹t exist. It¹s why most of
us who bought Laser Discs went for digital media in the first place...for
sci-fi pictures where you want to see the background and mecha in greater
I think Blu Ray wins this. Paramount are just being jerks because they can

Well, I'm a bit bummed. I know they're older (though, Li is only a year older

would allow for something more action packed. If Li says,

Agreed. It's just crazy now. End this show. Introducing new characters,
people coming and going...isn't this all supposed to have taken place over a

Ahhh. I concur. To my mind, a fine fit. :-)

True. But I was also thinking about the Places In The Heart set of movies,
those that often depend on actors looking *good*. As rabid Barbra Streisand
is about how she appears on film, you can bet that she'll veto any of *her*
movies going to BluRay

Thank you, Daryle. Think of all the cash studios could save in location-shoot
costs, actors' salaries, extras, etc. It's why I've got it written down in my
will that, should anything I pen ever be considered for the screen, it's
animated or not at all.

I don't watch either, but I want Blu-ray to prevail simply because of
the dirty tricks that have been played. Based on what I seen, the public
prefers Blu-Ray. I think it is in big demand on Netflix. Regarding the
adult industry, I'm aware that they are a huge financial heavy weight,

is it true. Seriously, some people on the movie boards sometimes sound

I have not met her personally, so maybe they were giving her DARK makeup and

Okay folks, stop cringing.. The episode that I shot on BET's SOB aired last
