Things are looking good for those setting up residence in the little
town of Eureka.
Sources close to SciFi Channel say the show -- as expected -- is looking

I'm dancing for joy over the Eureka news, but I'm actually kinda down over
Flash. Wasn't high art, for certain, but it didn't offend me nearly as much as
I thought it would. I could watch the show and not feel cheated.

I'm cautiously optimistic. Downey seemed a little too lighthearted for my
tastes as Stark. But then, I lean towards liking the darker, angrier Tony Stark
as opposed to the carefree playboy. The trailer's okay but I didn't see any FX

Is this film truly the best western since Eastwood's _Unforgiven_?

I say good riddance to Flash Gordon. I believe I said that with the first
episode. I have been recording Eureka, haven¹t watched it yet. I must say
that it¹s good to see Joe Morton in a successful series.

From what I understand about Bionic Woman, the choice of a younger actress
is integral to the basic story. It's not just a remake, but an update.
It's important to note that the most successful franchise on TV is Law
Order, and generally, they like their women to be GROWN.
As for the other

I can barely stand the Flash commercials and while I'm glad eureka is

No, I don't think so, based on her description. Daleks do appear more
machine-like, while Cybermen are more cyborg-like. And they were just humanoid
originally, with cybernetics tacked on until they simply lost their humanity.

Sex- uh, *Six*, sorry (gotta have that software checked!) sells sex too much
for my comfort. Among my close friends, I refer to myself as a liberal prude.
I may talk like a randy frat boy, but I don't really like to see much adverted

The Keystone Kops at Torchwood wouldn't last ten minutes against one Dalek.
It would be... Ugly.

FOREST WHITAKER TO DO 'MAMBO'
September
Forest Whitaker has landed a role opposite Jude Law and Brazilian actress
Alice Braga in the futuristic thriller Repossession Mambo. Based on the
novel by Eric Garcia, the film is set in the near future when
Intrigued by Bionic Woman (could be good if written well), Pushing Daisies
(though the Ghost Whisperer/Medium angle's getting tired), Reaper (lots of
potential for good standalone stories, but fear it could devolve into dreck),

Yeah, all we need are Chow Yun Fat, Jackie Chan, and Michelle Yeoh, and we can
dispense with Brendan Frasier (who I never thought was all the interesting as
the hero anyway).

You're quite welcome. I thoroughly enjoyed it. In fact, I'd enjoy seeing it

Flash Gordon sucks beyond belief. It's actually much *worse* than Painkiller
