Fiber is a good idea, imho. I was told by a doc at the university: upon awakening, drink one small glass of warm water. After several minutes to a half hour, drink one 6 oz glass of prune juice. If having trouble passing stools, never strain, drink MORE WARM WATER. This solved my problem.
