Main issue with portable use is many laptops cards don't have good stero line

a USB soundblaster, which was recomended by G8JCF for his software.

A friend tried to etch his own from the layouts and gave up. It wasn't the
registration as he is OK on double layer boards, and has done lots before,
you can centre drill the mounting holes and use those. What he had trouble
with was the very fine artwork, and either etched away the tracks or

David,
Thanks for the information. The Elector seems like a poor path
1) Whats the phase jitter on a typical PC sound card?
2) Doesn't the divide by 4 reduce jitter. The chip is not used to
generate the IQ directly .
3) The ready built price to the UK is only marginally more than I can
buy the bits for. I can't find a ready built general coverage
David,
If you are a real purist why not sample at RF? I know the cost is about 4x
the cost of the Elektor kit but the result must be worth it. When I looked
at recent reviews in RadCom the direct sampling boards came out realy well.

On the other hand I have had lots of stuff delivered from the US and Canada
without issue including the US QRP club DDR board, and the SoftRock are
probably still cheaper than WS with the duty. (Mind you they will have to pay
it..)

properties, click settings tap, click on monitor 2 image and then
check use this as the primary monitor.

The 4046 series also is a lot lower frequency than much of the
MC1451XX series. There are a lot of PLL's designed for cell phones and
such available for low prices. The problem is they are all ssop(.025
lead pitch) or smaller.

Using a BCD to binary routine would be more efficient than a big
loop-up table. Any of the AVR or PIC chips can easily handle that.
