I do 2D animations also in Si because it has better animation tools than say...
AE or Animestudio or toon boom... And I am no fan of flash. Also you can get
some really cool 2D effects or even some cool hybrid effects much easier. You
can even have isometric design quite easily, which is another

I love W8 (and 8.1 more), the general workflow of things is a lot smoother than
7’s, and the ribbon in the explorer is quite handy and always missed when I go
to 7 again.
If you never used the start menu, the new tiles in 8.1 will certainly suffice.

Yeah I see it, well at a glance: Procedural ICE modeling - in the "features"
tab! And.. it's third in the in list with the AD packages included as part of
"elitist" software! Much easier to know what SI is, now if you're being a
newbie to it. Kudos.
