You can register a brand new student/mentor license in linux without

Yes, Greg's videos are very in-depth.
Lots of nice stuff to be done with the new nodal system in 801.
I hope they keep extending it with more core functionality.
Check out his pMod videos as well, fun to see something

The Humanize Maya effort is definitely ongoing but with a yearly release

Dry your eyes mate, we all hurt.

I rarely jump in like this, and I know I probably won’t convince you, but I

It actually first appeared in Maya 2014 and has improved with each release and

Maya has always had good stuff in it. Using it consistently is the issue. I
enjoy the Nex tools, but it frustrates me when they turn off for no reason ,

The tools themselves are not the issue. Maya really needs to stop trying to

The functionality of the tools are fine, (considering AD didn't build them)
as Angus advocates it's the implementation within the rest of Maya which is
bullshit, it is like navigating a sea of small islands for each tool you
might need. exhausting and confusing.
I also agree that Nex tools turn

To the best of my knowledge, you can 'rent' Maya on Linux, certainly here in
the UK anyway, so I assume it will be the same in the US.

I'm with Paul. I have not found a great solution, yet. I have also been

I have also started using XnView, but it doesn't handle video previews.

Doing a little research this afternoon. Xnview has one big problem as far

For quick video viewing, I use DJView

I leave it on my desktop as an icon, and just drag the video file from my

I might be taking back what I said about Zoner.
I've been testing it FastStone today, along with continuing to use

Ah interesting.
I noticed that you couldn¹t download Maya Linux education site, so I

xnview just works well for me. remap the mouse to scroll images, put

I purely use image viewers as just that though,
