Problem solved. When I noticed that LMS would detect my SqueezePlay or
SqueezePad as clients, and it's only the Chromecasts that were not
found, I dove into the Chromecast Bridge settings. And yes, that one did
have a "Network binding and port" setting that allowed me to force my

My LMS runs on a Windows machine that serves multiple purposes. Over the
weekend, I played around with Home Assistant and had it installed on
that server in a VM using VirtualBox. Since then, LMS is not finding any
of my players anymore.
I noticed that VirtualBox creates a virtual network
The behavior is indeed rather inconsistent and weird.
The Player has 'Album Artists', 'Artists' and 'All Artists' in the
Additional Browser Modes. However, they don't necessarily appear when
you enable their checkbox, as it also depends on what you have chosen as
the Browse Artists option (the 1

I am trying to get a list of all people that appear as ARTIST in any
track of my library. This especially for artist that are tagged as 2nd,
3rd... artist in a track. However, this seems to be impossible.
When I choose 'Use single configurable list of artists' , there is no
way to have a 2nd
Yep, had already read about needing to enable the Flow setting.
Listening to Kate BushÂ’s Before The Dawn and sounds perfect!
One thing I was wondering: is there a benefit of transcoding to flac
rather than pcm? Also, my sources are already in flac, does it then
still decode and recode, given you

Yeah, might be. However, after I now discovered your excellent
CastBridge work (Thanks!), I gave that a try tonight and can't be
happier ! I had 2 spare CCA's still. Bought them
Sad day.
While the issue with the bad connection in the plug is definitely gone,
the playback issue has not. I still get dropouts, pauses, reboots...
when playing back both from my LMS as well as radio streams. Even using
MySqueezebox resulted in very erratic behavior. So my SB3 has become all
In the meantime I had other random behaviour, even when just playing
FLACs. Sometimes it would just skip randomly to the next track. Or it
would stop playing. And on one occasion the music suddenly had huge
distortion.
So am just back from buying a spare PSU. First tests look good. Wiggling

Thanks for the suggestion ! I unplugged the wifi card (didn't manage to
unplug the antenna wires - not sure if possible) but to no avail.
What I notice also is that if I wiggle the 5V power plug in the
Squeezebox, I can trigger a reboot as well, so it looks like a bad
contact. However, while the
After further testing it looks like it might be a hardware problem.
It turns it out it's not just the stream that stops, but it's actually
the Squeezebox crashing/rebooting, and then goes straight to the radio
display again, which is why I just thought that the stream halted. I'll

No 192.168.22.39 is my iPad. So all errors in the log seem to pertain to
my iPad. I can't see any logs that pertain to my Squeezebox.
BTW, 'Radio' in my previous post meant the radio application of LMS.

Sorry, meant to provide more details but then forgot.
LMS is v7.9.1 on a Windows 10 Pro server. Server is wired (1Gbps) to the
router, but both the Squeezebox 3 and the iPad/Squeezepad connect to the
router wirelessly.
Radio stations I tried with are local ones here in Belgium (Q-Music, Stu
Bru,
I have a problem with playing radio streams. I can start a stream via
Radio -> Local -> Stations -> any station, or by just hitting Play when
I also last played the radio station. However, after a while, the stream
just stops playing. This can be after an hour or after 5 minutes.

Ok, looks like either my router or my server itself are the suspects. I
got a couple more dropouts tonight while the SB3 was connected over wifi
directly with the router. The problems occurred while my wife's laptop,
also over wifi to that same router, was running a huge backup. When the
SB3 lost
