You should check on the PCP thread but IIRC I think because of 32 bit legacy (which may change) LMS cannot use more than 2Gb. 2GB is already twice the 1GB of a Pi3 - which is a lot more ;-). So on a pure LMS/PCP no point to 8Gb or possibly 4Gb. Would the 2GB limit be per process or overall?

It seems like I have Perl 5.18, 5.28 and 5.30 installed on my HDD but when typing Perl -v I get the respons 5.28. So there might be something in it that LMS is picking the wrong version for some reason. Please do the tests I posted in #50. -- Michael

pCP 32 bit will use all memory of the rpi4 boards, but its 3GB per process. (2GB in practicality with overhead) There is however a full 64bit pCP that doesn't have these restrictions. pCP7 is in beta now, I'm waiting for a few kernel fixes from RPI (for some fridge case uses - not normal
