This server ( I think you mean the DS216se) is not that powerfull and
could cause some problems when running multiple tasks. Check the server
cpu load first.
That a normal cpu load during scanning, most of it would be Perl
process. Slimserver is normally a few %.
What other processes are running. Do you have photo station installed?
Are photo's scanned?

Dstm is not in the beta package of synology. The status of the package
is almost 2 years old.
If you want dstm, just manually update the package using my Lmsupdate
package. See sing for details.

AFAIK Synology only adds a #recycle folder in the root of the share (e.g
/music/#recycle). Moving your music to a subfolder in the

Bought a new (slightly bigger) house and looking for some new ways to

activate the beta channel in Package Center and install the official
Synology 7.9.1 beta. If this also fails, contact Synology.

Check your scanner log for errors. See --> settings--> information at
the bottom of the page. You can also post the log
Depending on how you downloaded the albums, sometimes the permissions
may be different. So, check permissions in Filemanager of the top folder
and apply to all subfolders and files.
Do a rescan in LMS afterwards.

C3PO is definitely not part
Correct, 'Fred'should be part of the group 'Administrators' in this
case.
Login as Admin and add Fred to the groep of administartors. Check
permissions and log out.
Log in to your Fred account and disable the admin user.

Looks ok to me. Dont know why this isnt working for you expect for the
fact that I block several countries. Where are you located?
As a workaround you can download the package from sourceforge and
install it manually: https://sourceforge.net/projects/lmsupdate/

The port is indeed part of the config that comes with the package! When
installing a package, Synology checks if this port is free to use. If
already in use, the install will fail.
Port 9000 was once used by Surveillance Station but is free to use now.
Surveillance Station moved to 9900 and

You need an SPK-package to be able to install LMS manually on your Syno.
