I'm trying to install PiCorePlayer and Squeezebox, following the
official PCP tutorial.
Things seem to run fun until it gets to the Install LMS stage, where
it's supposed to refresh the web page again to go on. But it did not.
On the Raspberry screen, the last line says "SMP: failed to sotp

The Raspberry is a Pi 3B+, and the pCP version is 4.1.0
That part now is solved, and it seems fine on the Rpi side.
What I'm trying to install now is LMS & Squeezebox on my PC, which for
some time will act as my server.
My Squeezebox is registered and activated, and I'm trying to finish the

The question is related to installing PicCorePlayer, and Squeezebox and
LMS are part of the installation.
I'm just following the PiCorePlayer tutorial and that is the way things

OK, let's rewind and try to solve the problem.
With the help of a friend, more familiar with Linux, we installed PCP
5.0, with Jivelite and all.
Things went fine. PCP is seeing my network, albums and all.
So I picked a music to play, and I'm supposed to hear music, but I don't
have any.
So
OK, the USB audio I did select before.
But where is that LMS web gui to set the level up?

Not wrong. A Raspberry is not a powerful computer to handle what a
server needs. That's what I have been advised. The LMS will work within

Can we forget about LMS for a minute?
The PCP web setup allows to change the output to USB audio, which I did.
For LMS says it's not running, so what is preventing that USB to work?
Is there any other place to set that up?
Volume in PCP's audio settings does not allow any adjustment.

my music folder showed on the PCP screen.
Previous to that I had had LMS scan that same folder.
What I found on PCP in the folder they called "My music" was around
twenty subfolders, with titles like Jazz composers, or Ye

But what the audio work was in the PCP setup page.
It only did work after I selected an Output setting, as shown on
screen.
The problem was a missing setting.
Music is playing fine now.

Is there a tutorial anywhere on how to organize the folders in LMS?
The way it automatically did in my system, just with one folder where
all my music is, is quite confusing.
It created folders with artists names and things like that, which I
really do not want, and it created a lot of folders
My PCP playing screen is slightly different, graphically speaking.
Right now I have a moving FR graph that I don't know what I did to turn
it on. But I did have a very small LP cover there before.
How do you control those settings?
Why isn't there a STOP anywhere on the screen?

Something did create all those folders on LMS and organized the folders
and records in a certain way. I did not.
If it was not LMS, what program did that?
I assume it has to be stored in some temp file, or will it disappear
when I turn my PC off or reboot Firefox.

It seems PCP doesn't play DSD files, at least those I tried. Is that so?
It seems PCP doesn't read or can use cue files, from CDs you ripped on
one large file, with a cue.
Why won't it read the large file anyway, in flac or wav? Any audio
program does.

Perhaps I'd need to say that I was quite pleased with the audio quality
results I could get from the PCP tests I've done so far.
My questions about how to handle DSD files and cue sheets are because I
would like to start using it.

Made the change as instructed.
It continues to appear the word "empty" when I press on the "cue" file.
The problem is with the undivided, one piece wav files, where all the
musics are one after the other.
Nothing happens if I press the cue file, neither if it opens the music

Clicking on any of the red arrowed points will work.

Albums with separate wav files for themes, instead of one unique wav

Here's the other access I can use to the album, where the cue file

Tested the files.
Wave file played alright.
Cue file did nothing.
The wave file playing doesn't prove much, as I have a lot of albums with
separate wav tracks and a cue file. With LMS the files play

As I was away for a few hours, just now can I try the promising things
you suggest.
The first I did was using the cue file JohnB rewrote, making a new cue
file, that I put on the original album menu, moving the original cue to
a folder. Then rescannned.
But now I do not know why I can't acce

Just a question which might be important. To save the cue using Notepad,
should I save it encoding as ANSI or what? That might be important.

Attachments Manager does not allow it. It claims it's not a valid file.

Yes, the program is playing audio, and quite well. That's why I keep
insisting on this matter.
The only things that do not work, for some reason I can't yet
understand, are the cue commands and the large wav files.
The large files should be opened by the cue command to play the tracks.

Who am I to comment about those details in the numbers inside the cue
file, and if that might be the problem.
But shouldn't I mention that that absolutely none of the cue files works
in my whole album collection? It's impossible for all the cue files to
be wrong.

My server for now is my PC, but I will assemble another one, that I
already have the parts of, with an Asus mobo and Intel CPU, with proper
power supply for the 3.5" SATA HDDs. Server program will be Linux.
