Bike lanes are for bicycles only. They are usually painted far enough from the curb to allow parking. therefore, cars can cross the bike lanes. Vehicles are not allowed in the bike lanes, that is why the bike lane ends prior to intersections. This allows vehicles to turn right. Bike
