Bike lanes are for bicycles only. They are usually painted far
enough from the curb to allow parking. therefore, cars can cross
the bike lanes. Vehicles are not allowed in the bike lanes, that is
why the bike lane ends prior to intersections. This allows vehicles
to turn right.

I'd be interested in hearing an update on the signature gathering Mr Swift
talked about here around a month ago. The plan was to collect signatures
favoring the anti-gay state constitutional amendment to present to Council
Member Dave Thune - if I recall correctly.
