Even though I specify Google as my search engine, the darned DuckDuckGo
takes over each internet search, in Windows 10. It is not listed under
Programs in Control Panel

Maybe because when
merely examining the contents (e.g., read-only), but ultimately, it's
the same sort of thing as the Windows registry. Don't play with things
