On my American Win7 system, right-clicking a file in Windows Explorer

I installed SeaMonkey to a Standard account (on MacOS), which does not

now I have done a second installation with admin rights I got a second

and duplicates entries in the start menu

(responding to myself)
to avoid this situation I uninstalled seamonkey
in the admin account : as usual control panel, programs and features ..
in the user account (with limited rights) there could be a problem
because it is installed somewhere in the user's space, and no entry set
in the control panel/programs and features

instead right click on the icon of seamonkey
select file location
open the folder "uninstall"
launch "helper"

when done I re installed seamonkey from the admin user

If you want to know if a mail is really sent,
don't put a copy in the sent folder, but include yourself in the
recipient's list (invisible carbon copy)

then filter input mail from yourself to put it in the sent folder

at least, you will know if the mail can be received
of course there could be some problems at the recipient side (or provider)

Vaccination contre l’encéphalite à tiques d’Europe Centrale
Mis à jour : 8 mars 2017
GENERALITES

tchèque, Slovaquie, Pologne, ex-Yougoslavie, Ukraine, Russie, Bulgarie,
suivants :

http://www.itg.be
http://www.zecken.de/gefahr-durch-zecken/fsme-in-europa.html

INDICATION

- FSME-IMMUN® (Pfizer) –adulte: coût : 1 x 0,5 ml: 39,73 euros (contient
- FSME-IMMUN® (Pfizer) –junior: coût : 1 x 0,25 ml: 39,17 euros
partir de 1 an jusqu'à 15 ans.

About

We Also Walk Dogs is hiring a Trainer/Technical Writer to help clients
learn how to use ActionKit more effectively.

ActionKit (actionkit.com), built by We Also Walk Dogs, is used by dozens
of major progressive nonprofits to activate and organize tens of
millions of online supporters. If you’ve signed a petition for CREDO
Action, attended an event for Indivisible, 350.org or PeoplePower,
called your legislator for Everytown or MoveOn, or donated to
MercyCorps, NARAL or AllOut, you’ve used our software.

We Also Walk Dogs is a small, friendly, and clever company. Named after
a Robert Heinlein story about a company that specialized in solving
impossible problems, We Also Walk Dogs has spent over a decade serving
online progressive organizations and charities.

Responsibilities:

Develop an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation

Write and record support materials, videos and descriptions of new
features

Write plain, detailed and straightforward user interface text,
online help and developer guides

Run individual and group training sessions covering all aspects of
ActionKit for new and existing clients

Identify and help clients to find “hidden features” and adopt “best
practices” based on our experience working with dozens of clients

Work with our designer to find ways to simplify the user interface
to minimize the need for documentation and to integrate help into the
product directly where that’s not possible

Pitch-in as needed on other priorities

Job requirements are:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

A solid understanding of political advocacy organizations and
online best practices

Experience using online organizing software like ActionKit

Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript and screen capture/video
software

Knowledge or enthusiasm for learning basic mySQL

Strong ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and explain them

Is this the job for you?

Do you want to empower progressive organizers in their work?
ActionKit rocks! But not if you don’t know what’s possible or can’t
figure out how to use it. We need someone who is passionate about
showing existing and prospective clients what they can do.

Are you interested in how people learn? ActionKit's users range
from experienced developers to the technology-wary and they have many
different learning styles. Your challenge is to present information in a
variety of ways that speak to all of these users so they can do their
work, hopefully without really noticing that they're learning something new.

Can you can wear a lot of hats? We're a small company and not much
for bureaucratic divisions. The boss codes, the project manager gives
sales demos and the programmers cover support shifts. At some point,
you’ll likely identify use cases for the developer of a new feature,
help test a new feature, manage logistics for our annual client meeting
and more.

Do you love working independently? We all work remotely. Hours are
flexible as long as you get the job done. Nobody’s looking over your
shoulder, so you need to be self-directed and motivated.

Why work for us?

Work with an awesome team for awesome causes.

Competitive salary.

Remote work. Hours and location are flexible.

Four weeks paid time off. We encourage you to take vacation; we are
not the sort of workplace that pressures anyone into 60-hour weeks.

A free, great health insurance policy and 401(k).

As I've noted before, SeaMonkey's spell checker periodically switches
language without prompting or authorization. For example, I was minding
my own business today, browsing English-language sites, and it silently
switched to the Russian dictionary.

Edit | Preferences | Appearance | Spelling
Language: English (United States) => Russian (Russian Federation)

I didn't notice until I began composing this message, when the entire
subject line, as well as the body text, was flagged with wavy underlines.

So I went into the pref and switched it back to English. No effect. Wavy
lines still there. Confirmed the pref -- still set to English (United
States), but ignored by the spell-checker.

So I launched the spell-checker (CTRL-SHIFT-P), and despite the
preference I had set, it checked the page against the Russian
dictionary. I switched it to English, and it still flagged "As" at the
beginning of this message. Not until I told it to "Recheck page" did it
get a clue and start using the English dictionary.

Apparently my preference can be overruled if SM decides that the current
page content isn't in that language. What I don't understand is why it
would do that for this message, and persist in the error even after I've
told it the correct language.

The language detection routine also appears to need work. Although roman
characters can appear in Russian text, it is highly unlikely than an
all-roman text, especially a long one, is Russian.

P.S. I do compose messages in Russian, which is why I have the Russian
dictionary installed. But this ain't that.

As the others have said, Composer is a no-longer-supported part of
SeaMonkey. Do NOT expect it to work well nor to have it updated. It
won't be.

You need to move into the 20th century. Well, okay, the 21st century
even.

Get a stand-alone FTP program. There are free ones (mentioned in
other answers.) Learn to use it.

And, unless your use of Composer is anything more than very casual and
just for you, you'd better go buy a good book on HTML and CSS and
start learning. Your use of Composer is rooted in mid-1990's Web
development. It won't cut it today.

Frankly, I wish Composer would be stripped out of SeaMonkey. It's an
abommination that should be banished from the earth.

All it does is cause problems.

Did you not feel that it is there to permit to compose a mail in an html
format.
I know that this composer is old, but, when i compose a VERY SIMPLE web
page, it's wonderful.
I agree totally, it should be stupid to strip off something that works,
even if not as one would like.

I can use it from time to time to make some documentation.

For a ftp client, there is one in total commander...

Le 25/02/2014 11:24, Ian Jackson a écrit :

After modifying the install.rdf file, I've now I've got
ImportExportTools working with SeaMonkey, so I've been playing at
importing and exporting.

One of the tests involved using MozBackup to back up a brand new virgin
SM ('as installed'), the importing a load of WLM emails. I then used
MozBackup again to back up the well-populated SM. As result, I had two
.pvc backup files for SM - one around 350kB, and the other around 800MB.

To try to get back to the virgin condition, I used Mozbackup to restore
the original profile - only to find all the imported emails were still
there. It had obviously NOT correctly restored the profile I wanted.

Further tests indicated that the restore function is additive, ie it
adds the restore profile to the current profile. I've checked that this
does NOT happen with Thunderbird, where the current profile is totally
deleted and replaced with the one you have chosen to restore.

I reckoned that a simple the way of persuading MozBackup Restore to give
you only the profile you wanted might be to prevent it from having
access to the current profile. A simple way of doing this is to sabotage
the path to the current profile by adding (say) 'STOP' to the SeaMonkey
folder name (in \Application Data). When I tried this, I indeed got the
virgin profile I wanted to restored (virgin, with no emails).

So.
Has anyone else experienced this oddity?

Mozbackup is working as if it was a simple copy of the profile content.
You could have erased the profile prior restoring.
I think Mozbackup is too simple but it can solve simple problems.

Recently my system has begun to issue the following error
when I try to send out emails on this account:
Sending of message failed. An error occurred sending mail:
Unable to authenticate to SMTP server smtp.att.yahoo.com.
It does not support authentication (SMTP-AUTH) but you have

So who's to blame? AND how do I get rid of this annoyance?

maybe you could tailor mailnews.tcptimeout (there is in prefs)
 see
 http://kb.mozillazine.org/Modify_Thunderbird_settings

I have set mine to 120

I get the same problem occasionly. Using about:config my
mailnews.tcptimeout was set to 100 so I changed it to 150 to see if
that
helps.

fine..
have you seen the prefs
/ mail news / network storage / mail connections /
connections timeout

Mine is also set to 100 seconds (default)

But somehow, I don't see how that second can be relevant to
this problem.
Also to amplify my NOTE. The send is usually successful on the
second try. But sometimes I have had to try up to 3-5 times.

Same here. I never had a problem on my laptop where SMTP was been set to
imailhost.worldnet.att.net because I never changed it when Worldnet
shutdown. I have now changed my desktop to Worldnet to see if that fixes
the problem.

there could be a problem on server side, have you tried with another
mail client ?
a delay in the response of your internet link should not be a problem
because timeout adjustments should have solved it.

meanwhile it's curious that it works when retrying ...

r159.

Chech your Add-Ons.

maybe it's pefbar...

I use PrefBar and the videos play fine.

for me prefbar caused crashes in flash the first time I used it, and
recently I installed it one more time, it caused blind square instead of
flash video

Now that you mention it, I used to have a problem with PrefBar and Flash
but SM2 seems to have fixed that. For the record, I'm using SM 2.1,
WinXPSP3, PrefBar v. 5.1.1, build date 20100723

From my notes, in earlier versions of SM, Prefbar looked for Flash in a
different location than where Flash installed the plugin. The only
problem that created was I couldn't turn Flash on and off using Prefbar.
Like I said, I don't have that problem anymore.

In SM2.1, check the location of your Flash plugin. About:Plugins

File: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32.dll

you are right it was there...

When I had the problem, I had to move the Flash plugin, NPSWF32.dll to
the SM plugins folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Mozilla\plugins

With SM2, that folder is empty.

From your Header, it appears you're using SM 2.0.14.

I decided to put it there :
C:\Program Files\SeaMonkey\plugins\NPSWF32.dll

thank you for explaining those clues for flash and prefbar..

This may be it. I've found that if I send a message with all the
recipients bcc'ed, it goes out fine, but the copy in my Sent folder
lists undisclosed-recipients:; in the To field (SeaMonkey apparently
inserts this automatically). If I then edit that sent message as new,
modifying the body without modifying the recipient list, SeaMonkey
refuses to resend it, saying undisclosed-recipients:; is an invalid
address. I have to delete that line before sending.

If you're forwarding such a message, this shouldn't happen (the
recipient fields will be blank until you fill them), but if you reply to
it, or reply to all, the first listed recipient will be the invalid
undisclosed-recipients:; and you'll have to delete it before sending.

your explanations are fine, as I wanted to know more about the case I
have, I resent the message with the

To: Undisclosed-Recipient:;@spooler8-g27.priv.proxad.net
this was done silently, but I don't know to who.. I think my provider is
remembering the bcc list... ? I hope so

in any way I don't think it is a real bug of SM because it remains of
the responsibility of the sender to set up the list of recipients, all
is under his view.

IT's A REAL BUG of SM, because he add the To: zone when it was not used
at the first sending. In fact, the sent folder must contain an exact
copy of the mail sent instead of adding To: undisclosed-recipients:;
If the To: zone is let empty/missing the problem of the sending of Edit
message as new will not occur.

may I remark that when I received a message as being BCC, I get warned
of it, when I view To: undisclosed-recipients:; and I think important to
get those sort of information.

in the other case, when sending a message having only BCCs do you mean
that SM should copy the whole in sent folder, expanding all BCCs ?

is not there a privacy issue ?

I think this is due to some automatic spam detection at your email

This is a false assumption, because i test it without being
