Any way to show unread count on unexpanded tree?
I'm not sure if I am using the correct terms here... You know how Newsgroups in the left pane has an arrow you click to show all newsgroups? You know how your local mail folders are viewable after you click to expand them in the left pane? Is there any way to make the unexpanded list show the unread count for all 'children'? I would like to be able to tell at a glance if I have any unread 'filtered' mail without having to click to expand the view to show all my folders... As an example: I have filters to put coupon emails in their own folder upon download. I don't want to have to click down to the folder to see if there is any new mail. I would like my 'local folders' to show the amount of unread mail across all 'local folders' without having to show all 'local folders'. Is it possible? Is it easy for me to add? Thanks in advance! RGrannus wrote: Some older emails that I wanted to keep were deleted today when the keep for so many days option was reset. Is there any way to recover them? There is something call the 'Reset E-mail Status Utility' you may be able to use to solve this problem. It has been YEARS since I've used it, but IF YOU HAVE NOT compacted your Trash folder, it should work. It utilized an exe file called: tbrststs.exe You can search Google for that file name and other keywords such as undelete, etc. I do not remember exactly how it's done, so you should look for detailed instructions in your Google search. There are also a few posts in MozillaZine about it, such as: http://forums-test.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=39t=1032175 A direct link to get the tbrstss.exe file is: http://apveening.a61.nl/software/tbrststs.zip Key #1: resetting the statuses of the deleted e-mails you want to retrieve. Change the status (X-Status) to all zero. Key #2: back up your original mail folders first, in case it goes bad! Key #3: Do key #2 BEFORE key #1. ;-) Good luck!!! -George ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey
