Perhaps he was referring to 2.0a; it was upto 3 (2.0a3-candidates) at
23-Feb-2009.

Maybe, but this is *no Beta* version at all. As you can see, he wrote
and answered to Beta.

I installed 2.0b1 and it didn't harm my 1.1.17 install at all.

If we are talking about the installation files (rather than the default profile
location) then on my computers the install directories are

SeaMonkey 1.x (on XP x86): C:\Program Files\mozilla.org\SeaMonkey

SeaMonkey 2.0 (on W7 x64): C:\Program Files (x86)\SeaMonkey

so it would seem that SM2 would not overwrite the SM1 installation.

For a short description, create the other profile(s) with the profile
manager in SeaMonkey 2.x and then call

seamonkey.exe -P -migration
and select the correct profile for importing any other profile. (If you
don't understand this, I'm sure someone's around here who can describe
it in more detail - do we have a KB entry for it?)

There is no functionality for automatically importing more than one
profile, but you can manually trigger it for the others.

I would suggest: 1) upgrading 1.1.14 to 1.1.17 (*make a backup of your
C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Mozilla\ first*),
2) uninstall 2.0a1 (it's from Sept 2008), and install 2.0b1 instead
(http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/2.0b1).

But it looks like I'd be wrong (sorry I'm more familiar with linux
except for testing w/Windows), as it appears that 2.0ax overwrote your
1.1.14 according to:
http://www.seamonkey-project.org/doc/2.0/install-and-uninstall

Note:
Please note that installing SeaMonkey 2 will overwrite your existing
installation of SeaMonkey. You won't lose any of your bookmarks,
browsing history or mail and news messages, but some of your extensions
and other add-ons might not work until updates for them are made available.

This is why I *always* install a test/alpha/beta/et al to a separate
location & don't know why 2.0 doesn't do this as default as well. I
though that previously it did.

So, check first to see if you still have any .slt files on
your system in C:\Documents and Settings\\Application
Data\Mozilla\ & report back.

2.0 does not overwrite your previous profile. Instead it creates a new

NoOP,

Yes, sorry about not providing that info.. I Am using WinXP Pro, and
replaced SM 1.1.14 with 2.0A1 beta.

When installing 2.0A1 beta I was asked which profile to transfer, I
tried to get them both and could not, so I chose my main profile to
install and not the others.

Thus, my question is still, how can I install the others without having
