Hello everyone!
I now live a little over 40 km away from work, and during my drive
home tonight I was mulling over the whole idea of using ethanol as a
fuel for my 2.3 liter Ford Ranger. The problem with distillation, aside
from legality issues, stems from the energy required to

In my case, I burn untaxed 100% biodiesel to heat our home and also
use biodiesel to fuel a steam boat and steam car.

Hello there,
I am currently involved in a project (I am a student at Glasgow
university) designing a veg oil heated reactor vessel. I am trying to
gather data concerning quantities of SVO available in the UK so that
I can do some market calculations etc. Does anyone know who to ask?
Thanks

Dear Aaron-
We've been heating our home in Portland, Oregon now with 30-100% biodiesel
for the past year now. We initially added 200 gallons of locally produced
BD (from used fryer oil) to our 400 gallons making our mix about B33. With
subsequent additions, we are effectively burning B100 now
Myles,
As far as the nozzle drip goes, Hago makes an Eco-nozzle that solves the
after-drip problem somehow. Info is in their pdf they have on their site.
Read about it couple of weeks ago. What's your nozzle specs in the Reillo?
Myles,
I found the PDF.

Robert,
A good many of the Ford Rangers are already set up as FFV's, might want to
check to see if you model is one. Ususlly there is a little plack on the
gate that has a highway and a greenleaf. But I would check with a model
database online to verify for sure. If it is an FFV it will allow

Hi Hakan,
The net energy in Cellulose based ethanol might be higher if the lingin is
burned for processing. Since there is issues burning the Glyc from BD it
wouldn't add to the BD net energy.
The window of opportunity is really dependent on feedstock availability
which really isn't
