Maybe many of you will not be aware of this, but Jaws and NVDA actually have some quick-keys for setting key echo. If memory serves me right, try hitting Insert-2, the 2 on your main keyboard, and the key echo should change to "word", which will be the answer to one of the initial queries.

When I'm typing in the windows 10 search area, in the start menu, and I'm typing downloads for example. Sometimes, it will bring up the store, and sometimes it will bring up downloads. If you're getting multiple suggestions, you can just use your arrow keys to navigate them. Thanks, Darrell
