The other thing Microsoft needs to do is, put back the shutdown sound in
windows 10.

Another way to get into safe mode is to use msconfig if you can get into
windows. I did some looking on line and found a .reg file that turns
sound on for nvda, so I assume this should work with w e as well,
although it is built into w e. The file is

Hello Butch. NVDA works in Safemode too. What WE is doing is it has
installed a reg file that works in safe mode that works with all screen
readers. I'm not sure where you can get this registry file but if you google
it you should be able to find it.

Thanks, that did the trick. Once in safe mode, I deleted the avast
folder. I also ran msconfig and unchecked it in the startup tab. Once
back in normal windows, be sure you tell msconfig to start in normal

Listers,
I could use some feedback here, please.
Got a program that needs to run in Safe Mode. Being an uninstaller, it
cannot be run in standard mode under Windows. When I try, it just tells
me to click Yes, and it will restart Windows in Safe Mode.
Sure, I clicked Yes, and the computer
I forgot to mention that the

I'm hoping to get ideas as to how to deal with this. Thank goodness I
have another machine. I haven't the slightest idea of how to boot in safe
mode with this Asus laptop running Windows 7 home premium, but I'll

please let me know.
Did you start WE after you got into safe mode? Also, you might need
to uncheck the safe mode and then check it again after restarting WE.

does w e speech work in safe mode with windows 10?
i have the safe mode option checked in the windows enhanced app but i don't
have speech yet in safe mode. it works with windows 7 on the same computer.
i found a command prompt command to bring back the old safe boot menu that

window comes up go to the boot tab and select the safe boot option, but

Hi David,
You are correct, in Windows 7 you use the F8 key during boot up to enter
safe mode, however, Windows 10 is totally different, and you need to go
through several steps to get into it now, but without any kind of speech
asisstance, it is proving a tad difficult!

Hi,
Does anyone know how to get into safe mode in Windows 10 without sighted
help? I googled how it was done, but when the options are brought up during
boot up, there is no screen reader loaded up yet, so you can't go through
the choices to restart in safe mode, anyone got any clues?
