Selecting text with thunderbird

Hi, I'm using Windows 10 with the latest version of WE. I can't select text in an email when using thunderbird. I can select a whole email by doing control A but if I only want to select just a line, like a link for example, I can't do it. Shift with any of the arrow keys doesn't work.
