I am in my email which is WLM. So I presume WLM is open?

I open WE with ctrl backslash.

I then do Alt A and arrow down the list of apps that are loaded. WLM is not
there.

I want to find it on the GW Micro or AISquared list and load it, download it
or whatever the terminology is so that I have it loaded.

If All of this is understandable and right, then how do I find WLM so I can
download it?

if it shows in your list of running apps in app management it is already
installed. then listen to the status for each app. they will say running,
stopped or disabled.
if all the apps are stopped check the app status to make sure that the
status
is on. if not none of your apps will run.
if you mean what to do after the app has been re downloaded it will start
running as soon as it has been installed and wlm is running. again make

Hi Bob,

In the Apps list is an app called AppGet.
Press Enter on this app and then press Enter again to run it.
Allow the list of available apps to load.
Invoke a search by pressing Control-F.
In the first field type:

windows live mail

Press Enter.
You should only get one search result.
Tab to the Install button and press Enter.

Re: thumb drive

2015-11-01 Thread Jim via Talk

Hi there!
I simply plug the thumb drive into my computer and generally windows
recognizes it. If it doesn't you can open the computer or my computer
icon on your desktop and from there navigate to your thumb drive..
Generally when I go to download a book from the BARD site I simply press
the context menu key and first go to open container and then I press it
again and go to save. The path is there I simply go in and edit the
path to match my save criteria. Example, windows has the path for
saving the book as D:\downloads\'filename'. my thumb drive is 'F:' so I
simply go in and delete the path name and type in the path to my thumb
drive. There may be a quicker and easier way to do it and it there is, I
would like to be enlightened! Sorry about the length of this message.

Hey Bud,

You can load and unload Narrator with Windows-Enter. And you might want

these changes were made in Windows 8. But for me Narrator works
considerably different now. Namely there are several Caps lock key
combinations.

No I am sorry I don't use nls cartridges. I would recommends that you
contact the nls and report this problem to them. It would also be helpful to

The key combo you want to turn this on is
windows enter.
To turn it off it is the same key combination.
Sometimes it takes a little time for narrator to start speaking.

Hope this helps.

RE: windows speech

2015-11-01 Thread Jim Grimsby JR. via Talk
Windows 10 speech is not a screen reader. It is a speech synthesizer. The
voices are the same as they were in windows 8. If on the other hand you are
talking about narrator you can access this at any time buy pressing the
windows and enter. Narrator for windows 10 actually is a lot better than
narrator has ever been under windows 10. If you actually do want to use
windows speech then you would bring up the Window-Eyes control panel with
ctrl+\. In the tree select devices. Expand this and go down to speech. In
the list of synthesizers select Microsoft speech api. Now press tab to
the list of voices select the voice you want to use and press enter.

RE: finding thumb drive

I press window key D to land on desk top.

Hi Bud,

I'm certainly no authority of any kind on Windows 10.
All I can assume is that it is normal for Windows 10 to bring you to some
focus after you log in, and after all the normal boot process transpires,
speech should stop and you would be focused on some control somewhere.
At that point, I assume that you could just use the Windows-M key
combination and focus should land on the icons on your desktop.
Now, if this doesn't happen, then it makes sense to me that some kind of
alternate menu system of some kind was installed and that the above key
combination has been set to do something else.
What that could be, I really can't say, and I am sorry. smile

Take care,

Rod

Hi, and this is also to Rod. I can just hear you guys saying"Oh no,
is
he here again!" Seriously, I do appreciate your patience and interest.
This doesn't boot to the desk top. I don't know if it's supposed to
but it never has. I would get to it from file manager which has now
disappeared along with several things that were on whatever you call it
where it goes to at start. I can get to the desktop by typing it in
Cortana. The desktop has 20 items but none of them are this pc. I can
do windows x and get to the various disks as you said but don't know how
I would get it on the desktop. I should've taken this off line but
wanted Rod to see it also. So this whole setup seems to be kind of
weird. I'll keep checking around and get it figured out eventually I think.
Thanks again

RE: WE9.2 will not allow a I. E. scottrade.com order page to continue-- Is it a dll issue?

2015-11-01 Thread Rick Thomas via Talk
Hi Manny: Good detail on that error.
I didn't know how to copy mine a few weeks ago when I got it to come up and
was, as usual, doing some stock market work research so too busy to stop and
try and figure it out.
Whenever it happens again I will try and open the error in something where I
can read the details of the error, if I can, and post up and save this
message of yours to see if there is any correlation between the 2 of them.

Hey Rick,

I think you might be on the right track.
I had gotten a blue screen of death and Who Crashed indicated that the
crashed was caused by a WE9.2 dll.
Here is a copy of the report:
