I don't have time to write everything out on the first two right now, but I can
give you the following on the outlining aspect. As long as you did not disable
automatic number in Word, you can get Word to create the outline for you. Here
is write-up someone recently shared on the JASW or
Sis Robin, looks like you're going to spank me, Indeed, I did turn
off automatic numbering in Word. It was bothersome.
I just wonder if there are keystrokes I can invoke to get the Outline
thingie cranking? But, all the same, thanks for your invaluable help.

I've never used it, so I don't have any practical help to offer. but
there's a specific outline process in Word with styles and such. Here's
a link to a Microsoft tutorial on it that I found with a quick search.
