I am not really sure how to use this feature. Advice anyone?
 Thanks

In my opinion there is no place to add the mask for file which should be
extracted. In file extract dialog I see only the options for the folder, not
for extracted file. I do not see any new operation as well.

MM Sorry, this new feature will be implemented in v6 only, got to this

TB non-closure prevents Windows shut down

2013-09-17 Thread Roger Phillips
Hi All,

For some time I have had a problem with shutting down or restarting Windows.
I am not sure now what version of TB I was using when the problem first
occurred.

The problem:

If I use the command for Windows to 'Shutdown' or 'Restart' the process
hangs because TB does not completely shut down. If the process is then
'Cancelled' TB immediately closes and a repeat 'Shutdown' or 'Restart' will
proceed normally.

This is not a big deal becauise my computer is normally left running but the
problem is still irritating.

Has anyone else had a similar problem?

TIA

If Ritlabs want to keep the reports from general users separated from those
from Beta testers then the report form could include a place for Beta

I'm not sure whether many testers would use the facility as I imagine most

M So far I have not noticed any problem wit folder expansion. I'll keep an

I have now discovered what sequence of events causes thread expansion to
disappear from a folder which has been showing expansion:

1. Assume I am in TBRequests folder which displays thread expansion when TB
is opened.

2. A message in this folder is in focus.

3. I now move to another folder which is set to 'Expand all threads' but
which 'DOES NOT CONTAIN ANY EXPANDED THREADS'.

4. I now move back to the TBRequests folder and all threads have collapsed
'EXCEPT FOR THE ONE CONTAINING THE MESSAGE WHICH WAS IN FOCUS ORIGINALLY'.

I have switched back to version 4.2.44.2 as a test, and confirm that thread
expansion does NOT disappear in the same way!

As you are the only one to reply to my original message I'll be very

M Oh no! :-(

M After years of using the Space bar (on the Message List) instead of

Why they made the change I don't know, I suspect it may just have been an

M Anyway, I will have to do some more testing but I have returned the

RO Just like Marc said: folder templates.
RO You've got a folder where you filter tbbeta messages and when you've
RO selected that folder, new messages get addressed to the list because
RO of a macro like this: %To=TBBETA tbbeta@thebat.dutaint.com
RO So when you create a new message while you've selected your tbbeta
RO folder, the tbbeta address gets added to the recipients. Doesn't
RO matter how the primary recipient is selected, by typing or by clicking
RO a link.

Thanks for your, as usual, expert input. Unfortunately it is not that
simple, I started, or intended to start the new message from an address book
group called 'Software vendors' which does not have any reference to tbbeta.
I think I must have some kind of 'finger trouble' which selected the wrong
template or the extra address.

Anyway, again many thanks for your interest and input.

RA Not sure if this will resolve your problem, but I had that when I
RA installed v4.2 on Win 7 for the first time. Roelof solved the problem
RA for we with this suggestion

You can set the time date/format with something: d mmm ,t
That way you should get the default time format, when you set the time
like hh:nn then you can force am/pm by adding the ampm parameter like
this: hh:nn ampm, that implies that only hh:nn would give you the
24 hour format. The ampm parameter won't work with the t an tt settings

RA I have hh:nn set on my version of TB and it forces 24 hr format.
Thanks for responding.

I have used a 24hr system successfully for years in Windows and TB. I was
just trying to indicate to Maxim that whatever they have introduced in
version 5.0.22.4 is not working as expected.

I've tried using your suggestion received from Roelof but it does not work

messages received today, and for this week, but all with 12hr clock with AM
