would think. It's never bothered me that I have a big chunk of
messages at the bottom of most of my folders received 10 March 2001.

There is a program called fineprint www.fineprint.com which allows one
to print multiple pages on one sheet, or select pages to print and
pages to delete. It is a very useful utility, and might be even more
than just a good workaround for your need.
