I think MgtdSidebarExtra is fairly new. It's purpose is to allow you
to add sidebar items which won't be eliminated by upgrades.
The version numbering system had some hiccups, so 103230 is actually
older than r9843. There have been a lot of improvements, so I would
recommend upgrading to the

Thanks for detailing your thoughts after a thorough digestion. And
good to to let your passion for TiddlyWiki be seen.
I can understand your aversion to different non-compatible versions of
TiddlyWiki in the past, and do see the great advantage of the plugin
system. No question about that.
This happens both on Firefox 3.5 and IE8. Just opening the empty file
and hitting save causes the file to become corrupted like above. What
am I doing wrong?
Using the browser build in saving mechanism corrupts a TiddlyWiki and
would explain your difficulty.

I think this associated issue came up before. The concomitant
licensing question relates to TW's with plug-ins. I'm assuming that
the TW app developer would have to negotiate with each plug-in
developer for plug-ins that he uses in his app.
Can someone clarify for completeness?
Thanks,
The concomitant licensing question relates to TW's with plug-ins.
Thanks for pointing that out. Indeed, the TiddlyWiki license only
applies to the TiddlyWiki core, not third-party extensions.

I use relative addressing to get to other files and simply do not
specify a drive letter in my links whenever possible. For example, I
use OneLevelUp/Wiki as my home directory and my main TW file is
'index.html'. I generally create subdirectories to hold any other
files that I need to link to.
Sorry, while walking the dog (yes, I really have one), I had another

Another advantage of using directories under the main Wiki directory,
if you need to copy/send/move the Wiki, you can just take the whole
directory and all of its contents. without worrying about losing any
links.
