[tw5] Re: Saving in chrome
Friends, Mark S., thank you for continuing the conversation over at the TWC group, (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/tiddlywikiclassic/cfef6YhGGuc) BJ, here is a "matrix" of the problem so to speak Windows 10 / Google Chrome Version 75.0.3770.100 (Official Build) (64-bit) 1. TW5 version 5.1.15 saves as expected: it downloads the file in the Downloads folder 2. Empty TWC file version 2.9.2 from https://classic.tiddlywiki.com/ saves as expected: Chrome downloads the file in the Downloads folder 3. My own TWC file version 2.9.2 (size: 4.96 MB) doesn't save as expected: instead of downloading the file Chrome fails with a download failed - Network error message 4. My own TWC file version 2.6.0 (size: 4.60 MB) doesn't save as expected: instead of downloading the file Chrome fails with the following pop up "It's not possible to save changes. Possible reasons include:- your browser doesn't support saving (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari and Opera all work if properly configured)- the pathname to your TiddlyWiki file contains illegal characters\n- the TiddlyWiki HTML file has been moved or renamed". All of the above files save correctly under Firefox 67.0.4 (64-bit) in Windows 10 using the File Backups firefox addon ( https://pmario.github.io/file-backups/, https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/file-backups/) Thank you! sklpns -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWiki" group. [tw5] Re: Saving in chrome
Mark S., friends I'm trying to test the script but I got stuck at step 0: Chrome in Windows 10 will act as expected when pressing the save changes button in TW5 as well as an empty TWC 2.9.2 (most recent version), ie it will download the file in the downloads folder. It wont however do the same with my own files (TWC 2.9.2 and 2.6.0): it fails with something like download failed: network error. I've tested after disabling all the plugins and still get the same error. Any ideas? [tw5] Saving in chrome
Hello TW friends. I am looking for a simple way to save both TW5 and TWC files under Google Chrome. Something like the File Backups addon I use with Firefox (works great!). Tried the savetiddlers Chrome extension (https://github.com/buggyj/savetiddlers) <https://github.com/buggyj/savetiddlers> but most of the time it doesn't save TW5's in a Google Drive folder (insufficients permissions error) and it never saves TWC. [tw] TW5 beginner: sidebar, css etc
Hello Tiddlywiki friends. I am a long time TWC user just getting my feet wet in the TW5 world. Hence a couple of absolute beginner's questions, if I may: 1. I can't figure out how to get the recent tab in the sidebar show every tiddler edited chronologically. It obviously only shows only regular and not system tiddlers? (context: I need everything to be there, otherwise I'm lost as far as getting back from mistakes is concerned. 2. I managed to create a button like this <$button set="ViewerSource" setTo='file://C:/Google%20Drive/Documents/test.pdf'>test How can I add an action to the button so the first thing it does is to switch the sidebar to a specific tab? Also: how do I get the above to be a text link instead of a button? (context: I've added a tab called viewer at the sidebar. It transcludes the ViewerSource tiddler which loads an iframe of file://C:/Google%20Drive/Documents/test.pdf. So it's a viewer. But if there's another tab open I need to switch to Viewer prior to loading the iframe per the button) 3. I need to get a third state for the topbar button: fullscreen sidebar (context: currently it toggles between story river fullscreen and story river+sidebar. I need a third state, fullscreen sidebar to be toggled in order to show the aforementioned Viewer fullscreen for beter reading) 4. (This is not nagging. I absolutely love TW for the past 10+ years in its various incarnations and I can only suspect and respect the amount of effort that took place behind the scenes and also by the community). Any idea how to speed TW5 up? True, I am using an old laptop, which however has an i5-2450@2.5 GH and 6GB of RAM. Seems sluggish to me, maybe because of using FF portable ESR (for saving reasons)?. Also: any intermediate guide out there for newbies minus?. I mean beyond the basic operations but not necessarily as deep as developer level (also welcome). Something like what you used to do with PageTemplate now you do with ... or the equivalent of inline scripts using InlineJavascriptPlugin is .. and works thus or widget/filters/whatever does this or that for you with this or that syntax. 5. Any chance whatsoever to port TW5 plugins to TWC? (http://tiddlymap.org/ in mind). Are the two completely incompatible? Hope this all makes sense and apologies for n.4, if one needs to study a bit then one needs to study and TWC is always there, no worries. [tw] TWC - Help with script needed-Tobias, friends
Hallo TW friends a couple of years ago Tobias Beer kindly provided a TWC script that creates a yearly income report table by months (see the thread: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!searchin/tiddlywiki/sklpns$20tobias%7Csort:relevance/tiddlywiki/FB00JfzzY5w/xSoTnGdL5eIJ and the script at http://web.archive.org/web/20150129060432/http://scripts.tiddlyspace.com:80/#%5B%5BS%3A%20yearly%20income%20report%5D%5D) What it does is collect data from tagged "expense" tiddlers and outcomes a budget table with budget information per year/month. I'm looking for a way to modify the script so that it outputs the same information but for all the years (not one at a time- something like Year Month Expenses Revenues Balance Expense Total Revenue Total Balance Total 2014 Jan 0 0 0 0 0 0 2014 Feb 0 0 0 0 0 0 2014 Mar 0 0 0 0 0 0 2014 Apr 0 0 0 0 0 0 2014 May 0 0 0 0 0 0 2014 Jun 0 0 0 0 0 0 2014 Jul 0 0 0 0 0 0 2014 Aug 0 0 0 0 0 0 2014 Sep 0 0 0 0 0 0 2014 Okt 0 0 0 0 0 0 2014 Nov 200 500 300 200 500 300 2014 Dec 0 0 0 200 500 300 2015 Jan 2015 Feb 2015 Mar 2015 Apr 2015 May 2015 Jun 2015 Jul 2015 Aug 2015 Sep 2015 Okt 2015 Nov 2015 Dec and so on Thanks in advance sklpns -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWiki" group. [tw] Re: [TWC] problem embedding html5 audio player
Hey Tobias, every time I have a question you come up with a plugin! Seems to work great, even with my real case TW which has a rather peculiar set up. Let me tell you, If I may, the kind of trouble this gets me out from: Not knowing javascript or any kind of coding, in order to show an html5 audio player (android compatible is the goal) in my tw, in an audio player div, I basically have to: 1. Create an xml playlist with mp3 files 2. Create an html page with the player and host it somewhere 3. Iframe the aforementioned page in a tiddler in a separate TW 4. Iframe the aformentioned tiddler in my mainTW. Same with flash, host the swf and xml files elsewhere and use them via a separate, audio player repository TW. Granted, coding knowledge would have reduced the red tape anyway. The above set up is far from clever, it just works. But if this plugin works like I think it will in my actual TW I can have playlists and players all in my main TW, which for me is awesome, albeit with the help of a pseudostory set up (opening player tiddlers in a separate pseudostory column). Thank you very much Tobias, I really appreciate your help. sklpns PS. Also great, people still getting involved with TWC. [tw] Re: [TWC] problem embedding html5 audio player
Hi Tobias, so far my android devices (both a new smartphone and an older, low spec, tablet) seem to respond well to the plugin with UC browser (apart from a zoom in-out problem but that's irrelevant), so I would urge you not to spend any more time on audiojs, so far your plugin does the job a ok. Just my two cents here: you might however wanna have a look at http://www.wimpyplayer.com/, especially if you're thinking about a twc/tw5 implementation: in my html5 audio player quest I found it to be the simplest in implementation with nice skins etc. Tried it last night in twc per their instructions but couldn't get it to work (surprise). Hello everyone, sorry to bump this but, not being a coder, I'm confused with the code of DatePlugin, http://www.tiddlytools.com/#DatePluginReminderMacros http://remindermacros.tiddlyspot.com/ and CalendarPlugin, where I guess lies the answer to my problem. I guess what I'm looking for is some sort of inline script like script (if there is at least one reminder set for today) return @@color:#F00;date popup today 'DDD, MMM DDth ' 'DD MMM ' (number of reminders set for today)@@; else return (current date in the above format-no link; /script something like what the Calendar plugin does as far as reminders go but only for the current date. [tw] Re: [TWC] Fet script question
Hi Tobias and, again, thank you very much for your input. Indeed, using fields would be cleaner but in my actual case I'm using form tiddler plugin http://tiddlywiki.abego-software.de/#FormTiddlerPlugin (along with data tiddler plugin) http://tiddlywiki.abego-software.de/#DataTiddlerPlugin as a means of an interface to input values and I wouldn't know how to make that store data in generic fields. Also, in my actual wiki, years are taken into consideration, ie there are separate data fields for days, months and years for each expense tiddler, so the fet you provided does brilliantly what its asked to do: create a table row for each expense with the relevant fields. In my case they are sorted by date. The thought was to create a table with a different perspective: show me only twelve rows per year. Each represents a month. Show me total month expenses, income, and their difference. And show me the expenses and income sums in the course of a year. Something like expenses expense line income income line monthly result JAN 2014 379 379 374 374 -5 FEB 2014 231 610 374 748 143 MAR 2014 264 874 374 1.122 110 APRIL 2014 207 1.081 913 2.035 706 MAY 2014 491 1.572 368 2.403 -123 JUNE 2014 430 2.002 374 2.777 -56 JULY 2014 861 2.863 374 3.151 -487 AUG 2014 221 3.084 317 3.468 96 SEP 2014 945 4.029 929 4.397 -16 TOTAL which in turn would be used to create a meaningful graph like this which represents both monthly and total budget progression In essence, the same fet you provided, but focusing on monthly sums. Found this inline script script var out=[]; var sum=0; var tids=store.getTaggedTiddlers(' timesheet'); for (var i=0; itids.length; i++){ var hr=tids[i].data(hours)*1; if (isNaN(hr)) {sum = sum;} else {sum=sum+hr;} } out.push(sum+' hours completed.'); return out.join('\n'); /script from this https://groups.google.com/forum/#!searchin/TiddlyWiki/script$20hours$20completed/tiddlywiki/xEuTGiw6xe8/yTRigFZrz_0J thread which will return the result for each tiddler tagged expense BUT I don't know how to fliter in the appropriate tiddlers. In my case all tiddlers are tagged with expense (and nothing else). If we write something like var tids=store.getTaggedTiddlers(' expense') tiddler.data(month) == Dec; the script wont work. A solution would be to make script check for specific words in the tiddler text but I haven't found a way to do that. I can define the appropriate tiddlers using a fet (fetch all the tiddlers needed by writing forEachTiddler where 'tiddler.tags.contains( expense) tiddler.data(month) == Dec' but I can't figure out how to get it to provide monthly totals. Finally, if a table like the one above could be created, the tiddler which contains the graph data would, ideally, be automatically updated (upon opening? clicking a button?) 4.029 € 4.397 € 368 € Hope this makes some sense; my current wiki is in Greek, so an mtc will probably make even less sense but I will try to get an mtc in english... again, Tobias, thank you very much for your help. sklpns PS. I am no expert but I do realize that TW is not supposed to replace spreadsheet functionality. But as far as, in this case, basic budget tracking is concerned, I feel it definitely can and it would be awesome to do it with my TW, alongside my other notes and combining it with them, instead of a separate spreadsheet application. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups TiddlyWiki group. [tw] Re: [TWC] Fet script question
Tobias, friends, a couple of follow up questions, If I may: 1. how would we go about to produce the same kind of report but on a monthly basis? something like |TOTAL EXPENSES | TOTAL INCOME | RESULT | TOTAL EXPENSES SUM | TOTAL INCOME SUM| JAN 2015 FEB 2015 MAR 2015 APRIL 2015 2. TiddlyChartsPlugin (http://charts.tiddlyspace.com/) allows the creation of graphs based on data of the following format |Month|1|2|3|4|5| |Jon's Money|100|200|700|800|300| |Colm's Money|50|500|300|900|700| |Matt's Money|250|550|330|400|2700| stored on tiddlers. Would it be remotely possible, using FET or, maybe, inline javascript plugin, to somehow automate the process? Something like *gather the monthly data with fet *click a button to update the content of the tiddler which holds the graph data *automatically update the tiddler that holds the graph and view it? Just wishing here, manually editing the relevant tiddlers is of course no biggie, just thinking out loud. [tw] Re: [TWC] Andtidwiki and forms/javascript problem
hello Tobias let me start with the questions Some questions: 1. The expense data are stored in data sections that always have the same name? 2. Car Brands always tag to Countries? 3. Would the ideal approach be to select a country and then a Brand (rather than the other way around? 1. Yes. Each tiddler represents one expense and all the data sections have the same name. 2. Ideally when Car Brands are chosen the relevant country is written in the data section. Country as a tag is an extra thing that presents with problems: if you select Audi the tiddler is tagged with Germany but if you subsequently select Volvo, Sweden is written as a tag but Germany is not removed. 3. Ideally you'd only choose Brand and the other information (Country) would be automatically written to the tiddler. I think it would be A LOT easier to write a little script with InlineJavascriptPlugin or even plain transclusion scripts that... 1. creates the select boxes automatically 2. creates the subcategory upon selecting the main category 3. outputs your desired values upon chosing a subcategory I am somewhat familiar with form tiddler plugin/fet but not at all with InlineJavascriptPlugin or transclusions. I wouldn't know where to start honestly. I feel like you are approaching this from the wrong end and that you should first start playing with the right fet reports and then see to it on how you can best constrain to what you want to see only. Indeed, I will have to think about that, as far as designing goes I'd take your word for it anyday. But, regardless of design flaws/improvements isn't there still an underlying problem? Dropdown menus options can't seem to perform javascript functions in Android browsers, AndTidWiki included. For now the quick and dirty solution I came up with is this: use the radio form (which works persistently well) hidden inside a slider (using nested sliders plugin). So my new dropdown_template tiddler has this code +++tooltip formTiddler radio_template === It replicates the interface of a dropdown (options are not all shown at once but only after clicking), all data and tags seem to be written ok and as an added bonus the slider closes automatically after the selection. So now the next question would be: can you manipulate specific tags? Replace Germany with Sweden, then Sweden with Italy and so on? [tw] Re: [TWC] Andtidwiki and forms/javascript problem
Hey Tobias I can see how I might have pointed you to the wrong direction with my MTC. My real world project doesn't use 1:1 relationships but many:1 relationships. The thought is to be able to produce (fet) reports based on broader categories. In that sense one doesn't necessarily need a second select box (though it be nice visually), but still needs the relevant data to be written in the data section of the tiddler. Instead of car makers think of the following expense subcategories Gasoline Service Insurance Parking Fee Parking Tickets Tax Bus Card (Yearly) Airplane Tickets Most but not all of them are about owning and driving a car. But all of them need to be tied to a broader category (Transportation - Country in the MTC) Thus you can produce a fet report showing, for instance, your general transportation costs of the last six months, without the specific contribution of each subcategory. At the same time you are free to go into specifics: show me how much I've spent on gasoline per month over the last year. Of course I haven't reached the fet designing part yet, so this could all be wishful thinking. I do have a sense though that fet reports like the aforementioned are doable. Hope this makes sense and again thank you very much for your time sklpns PS. One would argue it can still be done: write a fet including each and every subcategory, yet it'd be considerably easier to write a fet including only the broader category instead of pinpointing each and every sub every time. PS2. Besides there is a number of cases where you'd need forms filled/data written based on a single piece of information: a user fills a user name and his phone number and email address appear on subsequent forms/get written in the data section. PS3. My two cents here as I'm clueless about javascript: isn't it strange that the original code works when applied to radio buttons but not with dropdown menus? thanks again -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups TiddlyWiki group. DataTiddler.getTiddlerDataValue(this, field, defaultValue) : DataTiddler.getTiddlerDataObject(this); }; - and replacing with Tiddler.prototype.data = function(field, defaultValue) { return (field) ? DataTiddler.getTiddlerDataValue(this, field, -) : DataTiddler.getTiddlerDataObject(this); }; this seems to give me what I need, ie: - when a fet runs and a field and value are defined the value is returned in the fet resulting table - when a fet runs and a field/data are undefined a dash is returned in the fet resulting table (instead of the word 'undefined') (see before https://www.dropbox.com/s/hwx3zvzwkg1z64e/Screenshot%202014-08-27%2017.01.37.png?dl=0 and after https://www.dropbox.com/s/vifh8iv78cvbg1n/Screenshot%202014-08-27%2017.06.45.png?dl=0 screenshots of the relevant fet table columns) this seems to be working for now, yet I'm wondering if the aforementioned code change brakes something crucial in the way the plugin works I'm not seeing at the moment. [tw] Re: [TWC] autosave and function problem
An addition, if I may: The code above, I'm realizing, presents with an even bigger problem: If you double click a random tiddlerA and then navigate to a tiddler with the input form in it (for example test1 ) and select a radio button, the data do not get written in the tiddler test1 but in TiddlerA. Seems that the code above sends the data not in the tiddler where the form was clicked (as desired) but in the tiddler that was last edited? Major problem. Hey all InlineJavascriptPlugin http://www.tiddlytools.com/#InlineJavascriptPlugin lets us run scripts within tiddlers using the following syntax script label=Reset (some code) /script by clicking on the reset button. Hey Leo thanks for your reply dGSD I had seen a long time ago but I was persuaded by TeamTasks' simplicity so a more elegant and user friendly version will be very welcome (and will at the same time pose the question of migrating the existing TeamTasks', well, tasks) Other than that I've abandoned the check-boxes idea (never should have taken them for granted!) and came up with a very crude, very unsophisticated, very trial and error approach which, nonetheless, seems to work but, get this, only under firefox 3.6.24, which I'm using for my TeamTasks file for other reasons, and not the current Firefox. bear with me with me https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/67129323/teamtasks%20v03-fet-test.html It is an adaptation of a preexisting TeamTasks plugin called NewUserWizardPlugin and the problem seems to be with a tiddler called UserDetailsTemplate where the form template is stored. [tw] Re: PageTemplate depending browser and screen resolution
hey Tobias Indeed I've tried and I'm still trying to figure out just that, eg how to hide the sidebar and the mainmenu (forgot to mention the mainmenu before) under some sort of a small hover button on the left. Problem is that, in order for the page to work universally, I keep bumping into a hidden sidebar on the left that has to contain two iframes with the same id (where the media players load). One of them has to be hidden but, when in that setup the media links don't work (I suspect because two targets with the same id exist so the link doesn't know where to load) The above don't make much sense I'm afraid but I'll try to set up a test page to demonstrate the problem. In the meantime I'm thinking of this as a bypass: is it possible to conditionally disable a plugin? Something like disabling the ChangeModePlugin when in low resolutions and letting the low resolutions specific pagetemplate do it's job? thanks again sklpns On Thursday, August 22, 2013 2:19:37 PM UTC+3, Tobias Beer wrote: Hi sklpns, May I ask why you're not using pure css, e.g. the @media directive? Here's my situation: I have ChangeModePlugin running. When in admin mode the page layout is defined by a tiddler called PageTemplate. It shows a right sidebar with editing options. When in reader mode (initial mode) the page layout is defined by a tiddler called ReaderPageTemplate. The right sidebar contains a blank iframe, where external pages with media players are sent to. In order to try to target smaller mobile devices I'm thinking of a third layout (lets call it HoverPageTemplate) where the media player sidebar will go to the left and the media players, whilst playing, will only show up when user hovers upon an icon. test page: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/67129323/thetwilightkid-cpt.html so I think the question is: can we use a browser/resolution specific template while maintaining the current ChangeModePlugin configuration for all the other resolutions/browsers? hope this makes sense thanks again sklpns -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups TiddlyWiki group. [tw] Re: Opening Word file directly from local folder in TiddlyWiki?
hey all this might be of some use as far as linking to files / folders within a tw goes (at least under win xp) http://blog.verg.es/2007/08/sendto-clipboard-coolness-tiddlywiki.html it creates two new items in the Send To menu (accessible with right click on the desired file in windows explorer). The first (clipboard - file url) copies the file (or folder) url to the clipboard so it can then be pasted to tiddler as a link to the selected file/folder. it can also be customized to one's liking: in my case I've set a target attribute in the .hta file code, so that all the linked files open within an i-frame embedded in the tw. @skye maybe exporting open office files to pdf just for the shake of making them browser readable could be avoided. For me the following seem to work: in the open office options menu (think you can find that in any of the oo applications) there's a tab called network or internet (can't say for sure as mine's not an english installation). Under that you should see the option to use the open office plugin for firefox by checking the relevant checkbox. Having done that, in the firefox options menu and in the applications tab make sure that all the open office related entries (or the ones you want i suppose) are set to open with the open office plugin (if they aren't try setting them manually using the scroll menu on the right). This should result in open office files being viewed within firefox. If the relevant links are set to open in an iframe embedded in the tw one doesn't even have to exit the tw environment at all. Only problem is that recent firefox versions have some visibility problems with open office files, especially within an i-frame, but nothing too dreary I suppose. In any case and until this gets somehow resolved I;m using ff portable version 3.6.24 for a project that relies heavily on showing oo files within an i-frame. I'm suspecting that showing the files in a new tab would not present major visibility issues. Furthermore: these guys here http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?s=d5644fc05b95a88eea5d17e70d694d87t=94384 explain how to use the open office firefox plugin to also view Microsoft office files within firefox! [tw] Re: Problem uploading
hey springcat could be wrong but I think that in order to upload a local file you need to use an earlier version of firefox in my case a portable firefox version 3.6.24 ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/portableapps/files/Mozilla%20Firefox%2C%20Portable%20Ed./Mozilla%20Firefox%2C%20Portable%20Edition%203.6.24/ ) seems to work ok with tiddlyspot. see info on installing ff portable here http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable and info on using portable and normal firefox at the same time here ( http://allthingsmarked.com/2011/05/13/run-multiple-versions-of-firefox-at-the-same-time/ ) sklpns ps. 1. On my downloaded version of stories4thaaza I see an upload button both on the backstage and the right panel 2. [tw] Re: Embedding custom fonts
Again, Måns, Bauwe Bijl, thank you both very much for your input which has led to a solution that I think actually works (or I'm seeing things, also possible!). 1. Bauwe Bijl was right on the money thinking this might be a firefox related issue. Indeed, it seems to be just that. Amazingly, and this must be a first, most, if not all, of the examples described above must have been working fine in IE all along; it turns out you can’t use @font-face in Firefox with a font hosted on a different domain. I was fooled by the fact that fonts were loaded ok from both the external sources http://fonts.tiddlyspace.com/ (with the standard @font-face syntax discussed in this post) and http://code.google.com/webfonts (using a tip described at this tiddlyweb groups post http://groups.google.com/group/tiddlyweb/browse_thread/thread/e90ea288e76beb00/e6cf1abad1d6d87f?lnk=gstq=fonts#e6cf1abad1d6d87f where I was pointed to by Måns. Do the above sources use some kind of server side mechanism to by-pass the @font-face cross domain issue in firefox? I wouldn't know but it seems that if they do it's indeed a by-pass and not a generally applicable rule. see https://developer.mozilla.org/En/HTTP_access_control and http://forums.shopify.com/categories/1/posts/36160 for more info on the @font-face cross domain issue in firefox (btw: I've deleted the aforementioned examples posted at http://fontfaceexample1.tiddlyspot.com/ in the hope of putting together one final example here) 2. The workaround is described in this post http://geoff.evason.name/2010/05/03/cross-domain-workaround-for-font-face-and-firefox/ This guy talks about a solution that actually embeds the TTF font file (which, apparently, can't be read by firefox cross-domain) within the CSS file (which, apparently, can) so it can be served up directly from an external server and still work on Firefox. (btw, isn’t there a native tw capabilitie to do just that, embed files within tiddlers? Any idea where to look?) 3. Using this workaround I've reset the example page at http://fontfaceexample1.tiddlyspot.com/ using both the @fontf-face method and the linked stylesheet method of the tiddlyweb thread Had to do that because, after all that, I couldn't (and still can't) implement the @font-face example with my mocha theme stylesheet which looks something like this http://fontfaceexample1.tiddlyspot.com/#MochaStyleSheet Ridiculously enough I can’t figure out where to put the StyleSheetFonts entry in the stylesheet without the entire thing going down in smoke and flames. Please see the examples / how to’s at http://fontfaceexample1.tiddlyspot.com/ and http://fontfaceexample2.tiddlyspot.com/ This should result to cross browser and, hopefully, cross platform rendering of the Trajan Regular font (free / http://www.jabroo.com/index/search?q=trajan) hosted at http://jd.heliohost.org/Novelty2/webfont/ within tiddlywiki documents hosted at tiddlyspot.com And please confirm, would you? If it turns out I've scratched my head too deep into my brain and I'm seeing local or cache or whatever fonts all along, well, Bauwe Bijl said it: grrrthe world of fonts... [tw] Re: Embedding custom fonts
Hey Måns, thank you very much for your reply. It worked, just needed a little styesheet tweaking. So, to sum it up: embedding the special font Josefin Sans Std Light example: 1. Create a stylesheet tiddler for the font as described above. ( http://fontfaceexample1.tiddlyspot.com/#StyleSheetJosefin ) 2. Create a tiddler called StyleSheetFonts. In it include a link to the font stylesheet tiddler created in step 1 ( http://fontfaceexample1.tiddlyspot.com/#StyleSheetFonts ) 3. Put StyleSheetFonts at the top of the StyleSheet tiddler ( http://fontfaceexample1.tiddlyspot.com/#StyleSheet ) 4. Use the font in a tiddler like this: @@font-family:'Josefin Sans Std Light';font-size:3em;Josefin Sans Std Light@@ ( http://fontfaceexample1.tiddlyspot.com/#font_test%3AJosefin ) example: http://fontfaceexample1.tiddlyspot.com/ So far so good, this has succesfully rendered the font Josefin Sans Std Light from the external url http://fonts.tiddlyspace.com/JosefinSansStd-Light.ttf This works equally well with all the special fonts used at http://fonts.tiddlyspace.com/ However, for some reason, I still can't get it to work with the font Jd-clsr.ttf from the external url http://jd.heliohost.org/Jd-clsr.ttf . Could this be a font - specific issue, like the font-type (if you open the font it says '(HeliosSSi)(TrueType)' or the font family name (J.D.- Closer/LWTUA) being different than the font file name: Jd-clsr.ttf ? Yet J.D.- Closer/LWTUA.ttf is not even a valid filename because of the special characters in it. Any ideas? If I continue head scratching I'll start misspelling my own name (he-he). again, thank you very much Måns -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups TiddlyWiki group.
