Hi there,
I've been doing just this for the past year. TW is a wonderful tool for the
purpose, but it does need some tweaking in order to be usable as live
notetaking.
Here are some tips:
* Use the node version of TW. Preferably storing it on dropbox or some
cloud provider so you don't want
Hi there,
Sorry if this was asked before but search is pretty bad on the google group.
I wanted to write a small script to quickly add pictures (screenshots from
my clipboards) to TW, as the current interface is way too slow.
I wrote the script to add the image and corresponding .meta file in t
As said on the github issue, it's not clear to me what exactly you want to
do with this: Is it meant as a feature request board (doesn't look like
one, but you posted it on the GitHub issue pertaining to that...) ? Or is
it a general chat/forum meant to replace this group?
I /hate/ google group
For now I have something like
<>
This usually kind-of-works, but it actually displays a toc for the *current
*tiddler, not the tiddler in which the snippet is contained.
How can I change that?

Its interesting you think of these as "editions".

True, but the point of IRC is not to have retrievable information more to
get quick help on mostly rapidly solvable issues. If I have to come ask a
question here, I'm stuck until someone answers, sometimes hours later. On
IRC a newb can get an answer in the minute and get on with what he was

I like this. It seems better than having "spinoffs" like cardo.wiki that
are hard(er) to integrate with your own wiki.

Until the channel is pointed to and designated as official help channel in
various places (documentation, this group, tiddlywiki website, github,
etc.) there's never going to be enough people to bring it to life.
There should also be some people willing to be operators (I wouldn't mind
helping,
Thank you, that works indeed :)
Would you mind explaining what's wrong with my approach?

I wanted to make a macro to quickly insert a table of contents of all the
descendents of a given tiddler.
This is what I wrote:
\define toc-sel()
<>
\end
However when I use it in a tiddler (<>), it gives me:
What am I doing wrong?

Hi,
I've read previous posts about moving to different forums and the reasons
why GG is good for our needs, but there isn't much talk about a live chat.
I think IRC is far superior to forums for quick questions, especially for
noobs: it's interactive, so people can quickly ask follow-up questio
Maybe I'm not using the feature as intended but at the moment titles really
mess up my tiddlers.
For example, say I have a tiddler "Subtopic" containing the following
wikitext:
Some intro text, blablablablabla, nothing important,
! First Section
Some more explanation, blablablablablabl
(you probably know it, but if you want /any/ character and not only
alphanymeric ones, it should be /^.{1,4}$/ :-) )
