Hi all,
I use tomcat with jboss 3.2.3, and i try to load a jni extension, but it is not
working.
When i start jboss, i set the java library path, and i put my extension there,
but, it can't
load the library (i think, because, when i try to access something from that ,
i get unsatisfied link
with
either ApacheCon or COMDEX.)

Just copy the contents that you want directly into httpd.conf (you might
have to merge VirtualHost settings). Then disable the Listeners in
httpd.conf.

It goes in the conf directory of your Apache installation. The jk2

put your machine name or IP address and restart everything. See if that

It entirely depends on what your webapps use. Tomcat by itself can run

(assuming you're on a 'nix). One problem I've seen is that if you don't
have the /etc/hosts correct, Tomcat will default to one of the Hosts,

You need to type catalina start or catalina run. The latter runs in
the foreground, so you get to see all the error message. The former
opens a new console window, which, you there are startup errors, will
disappear after Tomcat exits and you'll never see the errors.

It may not be the http port that is messing you up. You need to check
all the Tomcat ports (using netstat) to see if anything is active. By
default, Tomcat uses ports 8005, 8080, 8008 and 8009. Of course, if you
have changed any of these look for the new ports instead.
