Just add a filed named, index.html, to the directory. You can put

We would like to ship our app as a war file and don't want require that our

In my configuration, all jsp and servlets
are redirected to Tomcat.
All html, css... pages are managed by Apache.
But when i request www.mysite.com/, the
directory listing is printed by Tomcat and
it should be done by Apache.

Tomcat doesn't have a facility to do this. You have to do it
yourself,
e.g. by having a simple class in your application that just gives the
header HTML and footer HTML as Strings, and then having every servlet
use this class.
