Interesting stuff guys.I have an Audionote Dac Zero,with which the touch
sounds substantially better than via it's analogue out.The analogue is
still good,and both sound better than my Arcam with the dac.

Thanks but I have already made my choice - recode at FLAC -0
Just to clarify I never had my FLAC files at level -8. They were all
at level -5 and I have recoded the hi-res files already to level -0
which resolved the issue.

I received mine and it is awesome. I actually believe the sound quality
has been enhanced too. Now I have to play with the new features USB

I highly doubt that Touch processing power is so small that FLAC
encoding levels would impact overall performance. After all Touch is
designed to run server software + playback.
I have never had problems with Duet and all my FLAC files are Level 8.
(Duet has less power than Touch.)

Just the CD 63,but I also have a Marantz CD94 MKII that has had it's DAC
section removed so is just a transport,and I'd say the Touch sounds
better than it.

After having a faulty Squeezebox Duet controller, which Logitech no
longer wanted to repair or replace I got the Squeezebox Touch instead.
I've only had the new Touch for about 6hrs. First thing, after it
connected to the internet, was a firmware update.
But I don't seem to have any luck
My Roku Soundbridge sounded OK too, but the interface improvement is
tremendous compared to the Touch.
PS: Roku was MP3, Touch is now FLAC

Was lucky enough to sell my SB3 for a good price (£20 less than I
paid!) to help fund it. Doesnt harm it eaither that Im getting a
discount on the price as it was a Pre-Order ;)

Interesting! I received my Touch last night and within 5 minutes had it
playing. It took me longer to get it out of the box than to get it
playing music!
The first thing I did was plug the Touch into my Oracle DAC1000 right
next to my Duet, synced the Touch with the Duet, level-matched them
According to the Feature Guide the max supported size is 32G.

Well I was quite taken aback by how much better the Touch is via my dac

The Touch status on Amazon switches back and forth between available
April 19th and unavailable. I cancelled my preorder from Amazon and
ordered the Touch from the Logitech site yesterday when the item status

Hello,
Sorry for my English but I'm French.
I bought a Touch yesterday, and I plugged in a very old noname USB hard
drive.
All is OK, but when the squeezebox is in sleep mode my HDD is not off.
And if I switch off my HD I had a an error message because I didn't
eject correctly my USB Drive.
I should mention that your drive likely will go into a sleep state on
its own if not accessed for a while.

Why do you need a new one if your old one works fine? The power usage
here is very small, not really enough to worry about and certainly not
enough to make it worth buying a new drive if that's the only reason to
buy one.

FYI - I received an invoice from Crutchfield today of my order. On it,
it says they expect to ship on 4/19. The coincides with the 4/19 date

the firmware is updated.

Just a quick report from New Zealand. All the online retailers were
showing a warehouse stock of 9 units at the beginning of the week (NZ
is small enough that all the retailers share the same distributor), and
that's down to 7 now. Actually, it should be 6 units as my order just
went through!
I've just been trying a couple of older WD Passport drives - a 160GB and
a 60GB. I did manage to get the 160GB to connect, scan and play music -
once. But after I rebooted the Touch the drive then went into what
looked like a continuous power up/down cycle - no matter what I did.

Touch. (It's present under Settings Screen on the Radio, Controller
and SqueezePlay)

Very odd - the setting is now back again. Maybe it's because I was
alternating between touch screen and remote, and the font size change
threw me. Or that some menus seem to be entered from the bottom,
IYSWIM.
