People have asked for updated Trisquel 7 ISOs to be more in line with the Ubuntu 14.04.x ones that fix issues and such. It never happened. People want a timely Trisquel 8 release since T7 is showing its age and since we never get an updated T7 ISO, users who do a fresh install are held back

Is the Trisquel team willing to run their own Snap repository and change the source code in snapd and snapcraft to link to it? If not, still pulling in the Snap management packages could open up the door to non-free software and letting Canonical dictate everything.
