I suspect that there is no canned function.
I little homemade sub could look like
SUBROUTINE SUB.XM.Counter(FXI, XM.Count)
XM.Count = 0
Total.String.Length = len(FXI)
For Posn = 1 to Total.String.Length
Next = Posn + 1
This.Char = FXI[Posn, 1]
Next.Char = FXI[Next, 1]
With the Rocket Basic Developer ToolKit, when I save the file the editor jumps
back to the top of the file.
When I save I file, I would like the cursor to stay where I was in the file.
I looked around in the Preferences, Editor but did not find it.
How can this be fixed?

code is the "for Receiver.Count..." loop, and
there it is only used to set the initial value of Receiver.Count. Its value is
never set inside the two for loops.

When I try do something like the following, inside the loop, UV keeps resetting
Where.We.Left.Off to "1".
To solve this, I am expecting to invoke brute force. I am surprised that
UV-Basic behaves this way.
An explanation would be appreciated.

Where.We.Left.Off = 1
for Blanket.PO.Count
AVEDLISTS& directory.
You could resize the &SAVEDLISTS& file as a Type 19, or fix the owner &/or
group of &SAVEDLISTS&, or just turn STACK.WRITE off.
Without looking, that's what I would guess.

There is the problem of atomicity... one of the important hallmarks of good
database design.
MV files of records with attribute marks can be directly ported to SQL tables.
The "problem" is what to do about data with value marks and subvalue marks.
These blobs can be crammed into SQL cells but
For the single-valued stuff, then the migration path to SQL is a slam dunk.
A little CRUD subprogram could be written to handle a multivalue blob inside a
SQL cell.
Is it an optimal solution?... of course not. Could it be done?...yes. Would
anybody want to buy it? ...

Consider replacing "age" with "year" or "purchase date".
