I'm using the same pc, same mouse, etc. Just added the new USB-PCI and plugged

Hi i just built an ASUS t3 T3-M3N8200 barebone with amd phenom 9950 quad
core and 8gig of ram.
I have a logitech Ultra-X desktop keyboard and mouse which both work off
the same usb receive and are both wireless.

Same for upgrade to 8.10 on SMP 64-bit. I have the USB mouse plugged in
and the syslog show that same behavior of having the mouse connect and
then disconnect intermittently. It can work with motion for about a few
seconds, then shuts down for several.

doesn't work, works for a while then goes down... I belive I've tried
the above too, I'm a bit new to this whole thing so I don't know for
sure... but I think so. Anyways, nothing new from the ubuntucrew yet?

USB randomly stops working and reattaching the devices does not work.

acpi=force irqpoll (works, but generates extremly high system load and slows

trackpoint still freezes up randomly.

changing the value of '/sys/module/usbcore/parameters/autosuspend' from
2 to 0? This will only work on Gutsy and you should be able to change

ran computer for nearly 12 hours tuesday without a single reset.

I've got a normal mouse plugged in as well as an IBM USB keyboard with
ultranav(trackpoint and touchpad).

I've got similar problems here and I've noticed some interesting quirks
- the buttons and scroll wheel on the USB mouse seem to function, though
the cursor isn't moving...
PS/2 Microsoft 2-button mouse and a Genius USB Powerscroll (not optical)
mouse have both been connected since a fresh Ubuntu

I have a similar problem, except unplugging and pluggin the mouse back
in doesn't work. I observed this problem in Edgy and in Fesity with a
single difference. In Edgy I was able to run the following script to
restore mouse functionality:

Really strange, mine will just randomly work sometimes after booting,
then other times it won't. If it's not working on boot theres nothing I
can do to get it to work and I just have to wait for the next random
occurence when it will work again. I'll try this modprobing though.
