the *only one* working translation, and that's because it's included
directly in the .desktop file. No other language should work. Watch:

I'll remove the bashism.
Leaving the maintainer field was deliberate. I asked on #ubuntu-motu
about having dana(at)ubuntustudio.com as the maintainer. Most people
seemed to think it was acceptable, provided that the email address
contains ubuntu and is an accepted
I ust removed the HorizSync and VertRefresh lines I had to add, and it works
now. So I guess some update fixed the problem.

1. Installed update-manager via adept (it was not installed in kubuntu, since

user's own personal VNC Server account on the Linux machines. I've

I found a temporary solution to the bug. The problem seems to be related
to a dhcp issue. After I restarted the network devices manually I
recognized that the start script waits for a dhcp answer. And it does
this very long. If you haven't got a static configuration for your
devices you can fix
Can you just boot from a recent Live CD with a 2.6.20-14 kernel and
attach the output of dmesg and 'lspci -vvn'. Lets make the kernel can at
least correctly detect your disk drive configuration.

yup, I have also seen that. I have seen that the mouse is not so
responsive while clicking the forward button one has to click couple
of times or strain oneself, but I think that would be a different bug
than the one file filed in here. The bug is specifically for the crash
