When installing Ubuntu 6.10 from the LiveC I told the installer to mount my
60gb windows partition in /media/windows. After reboot my new Ubuntu system
would show two mounts on the desktop: Windows and Windows(2).

I just installed Knot3 this morning, and the problem is still there.
I followed thge instructions in the link you gave me, but there is a problem:
when I try to apply the patch, it doesn't work. It says:

I can confirm twhat mvandeg is saying. Frequency scaling does not work
in Edgy Kernel 2.6.17-7.20 generic.
When I try to manually scale the frequency /proc/cpu still reports the
same CPU speed. I have a dv2000t with an Intel Core 2 Duo (2.0ghz).

It's true, KDE doesn't have GUI for doing this. But this is cause

I just wanted to say that this has happened to me also. It appears to be
a product of when evolution is 'Storing Mail' (according to the bottom
left status bar) and is unexpectedly shut down. I am more than willing
to work with anyone to help debug.

Overriding Ubuntu changes is ok.
Changelog since current edgy version 2.3.0-1ubuntu1:
pytone (2.3.1-2)
seems that there is no activity since march on this bug.
If this is still a problem please ensure you are running the latest
armork for dapper or edgy ( version 1.4.3 was for both as of the time of
this writing ) and feel free to reopen this bug.

I can confirm the Ubuntu changes can be dropped - the only being to
build it against Python 2.4, which is no longer needed given python-
support.

[Radeon Mobility 7500]. The default boot-up on Dapper, where radeonfb
is used, fails very often and it _seems_ even more so after the
2.6.15-26.47 (after more than 20 boots I finally got a working console.)

After upgrading bios and turning on modem, sound now works (not sure if
upgrading the bios helped).
My thinkpad came shipped with the modem turned off. I will never ever
use the modem.
I still think its a bug that ubuntu can't startup sound if the modem is

I just downloaded knot3 to test on my PowerMac G5, but the kernel oopses
right after I select live-nosplash-powerpc64. After a long period of
time, the CD-ROM spins up and then an additional few lines of output are
printed, then nothing.

Hi. I've read the response of the developer. I think that the problem is
not that. He don't wont the user able to randomly edit the text area,
and this is ok, but I can paste anything via edit-paste, and for
anything I mean really anything, even phrases. I can use edit- paste or
ctrl-v, or middle
