I compared ypbind.log with a proper working machine, and I could not find any
differences.
/etc/yp.conf exists and nis servers responding ping packages as expected.

Apparently, I have tried the solutions you have provided, however, the
solutions does not fix the problem by itself. Also, I have tried
completely un-install or remove the package and re-install it again. The

The fonts appear to be somewhat misconfigured. Try opening
http://ynet.co.il, and see the fonts: the (obviously substitute) font
that Firefox uses for that site is unreadable. On the other hand,
Konqueror shows the same site quite fine, with a font that is obviously

However, I'm no kernel dev, so I have no idea where to go from here. Probably

I have a Lenovo Ideapad Y510. Using Gutsy, I had no problems with screen
brightness settings and using Fn+up/down to control it. However, I just

Whenever I try to import photos into F-spot from a location on my hard
disk, F-spot starts occupying 2.5 gb of system memory. I am using Ubuntu
Gutsy 7.10 and F-spot version 0.4.0ubuntu3. F-spot returns the message
Import Error. Error importing /path/to/file.jpg. Out of
[SOLUTION] I just realized that the pictures were actually corrupted,
but subtly enough were I didn't notice it when I opened them in any
other image viewer. I realized this when I found that F-spot would
import photos download from the internet just fine, but not the ones I
